Members wingwalker
I agree. I'm glad Revolution is doing well. I enjoy the show, though still like TNT's Falling Skies better, as far as post apocalyptic sci-fi drama's.go. I see Partners has stabilized and rose a bit as well. Perhaps CBS being patient will pay off. The writing for it has gotten better (though it's still not a good show). i wonder if it keeps rising if it might actually be able to snag a full season pickup? Members Soapsuds
CBS needs to cancel Partners. It is just killing Monday nights for CBS. Good to see that The Mentalist is doing well on Sunday nights.
Administrator Toups Posted October 16, 2012 Author Administrator Share Posted October 16, 2012 I think CBS only has 1 comedy (Friend Me) on the shelf, so if Partners can get up to 2.5 area by December, it should have a good shot at getting a full season. Having a 1.0 difference from HIMYM is not a good sign though.
Members DRW50
I'm surprised they've kept Partners on. So what was the Mentalist gain? Timeshifting/DVR?
Members wingwalker
I agree Soapsuds, I would have pulled Partners by now and put Rules in that place, but CBS must be seeing something or have some long term plan that we don't see. I'd think if they were as concerned about their Monday night lineup as us on here and TVbythNumbers commenters are, they would have made changes by now, they sure didn't wait long to pull How to be a Gentleman last year. Members Soapsuds
I am suprised they havent done anything yet. All their shows are down from last year....Mike and Molly had great numbers last year and now their numbers are worse than season 1 yikes....ditto for Hawaii Five o...whose ratings werent the best but were good ...now they are just awful. Members wingwalker
I wonder if Partners having gay characters might be a factor? I know CBS has been heavily criticized over the years for having virtually no LGBT characters in it's primetime lineup and rarely green lighting pilots that do. Maybe CBS wants to avoid being criticized for not giving it's first new show is years with gay characters a chance? No idea.
Members Soapsuds
I'd rather have a gay drama show than this...lol
Members wingwalker
yeah, I think if CBS really wants some gays on their primetime lineup to please the critics, they should have character on one their procedurals come out. They'd have better success IMO. Spencer Reid on Criminal Minds I'd say is a good candidate. Or how about Greg or Nick on CSI? There's a lot of Greg/Nick shippers out there. Members Soapsuds
I think people didn't like Nashville so they didnt tune in this week. The viewers were tuning out during the second half hour of the show during its premiere. I dont see Nashville lasting very long.

Members wingwalker
While I know FOX usually airs X-Factor, it's sad that more adults 18-49 watched TBBT at 8 than FOX, ABC, and NBC combined and TBBT almost had more total viewers than the three combined. I don't watch 2.5 Men nor like Miley Cyrus, but wow that's quite a jump for 2.5 Men. Maybe they should consider bringing her back and making her a full time cast member. Members Soapsuds
Elementary is slowly tanking in the ratings. All the other shows had above an 8 rating. I saw the first episode and didnt think it was that great. Great job for 2 and a half men...great numbers...ditto for TBBT...I watch both.
