I've watched Donnie Darko now three times. And even after three viewings, I still don't understand what the hell that movie meant. I mean... what IS it?

That said, I loved the tone. I loved the dark tone. I didn't think it was scary so much as it was just mysterious and moody. The mood and the tone of the movie were fantastic. And even if I don't understand what the movie means, I liked the characters in it alot. So, I watch for them, and for the acting, and for the dark, moody tone. That makes it worthwhile, IMO.
