May 20th= 18 years since Cheers ended in 1993

Any Cheers fans remember what they were doing when Cheers ended? it's so weird that it's been 18 years! I remember it was a big thing in my house May 20th 1993. It was on the cover of the lifebeat section of my newspaper, I made sure to get a tape to record it on. My grandmother bought a pie to eat. It was a huge deal. They had that retrospective for a half hour and then they did the special episode where we finally saw Diane Chambers again after six years off the show. Then the whole cast (drunk) were live on Jay Leno. I remember they even talked about it and interviews people on the 11:00 news that night. I still watch the final episode every May 20. I have all the other seasons now on DVD but May 20 is always the day to watch the final episode.

The only other show i celebrated that big with was Friends 11 years later in 2004. But this thread is about Cheers.
