DAYS BEHIND THE SCENES SORAS

Who would pair David with in the Patch, Bo, Roman age group?

What profession could have been good for David if he had stuck around?

As for his son, Scotty, who would you have paired him with in the Carrie, Austin, Lucas, Carrie mid-90s teen group?

What industries could have Julie made her fortune in, had she and Doug stuck around Salem during the eighties and nineties instead of being off the show?

What did Julie do beyond running a restaurant? I can't remember.

I would have put David in a story with someone different from him, like Calliope, or bring back Val Grant, or, if she'd stayed around, Anna.

Julie owned a coffee shop, Doug's Coffee House, an early type of Starbucks, in Salem during the 1970s.

Julie also owned an antiques and jewelry shop.

When Julie came back to Salem in the nineties, she owned land under Wings Restaurant and the Salem Spectator newspaper.

What type of tycoon would you have made Julie if she had never left Salem in 1984?

What profession would you have David do for a living if he had never left Salem?

I didn't know she worked at a newspaper.

That's probably what I would have done with David, especially if Gregg Marx was still in the role. I can see him as that square-jaw man of the people.

I always thought Julie might make a good style constulant/shopper/etc.

Julie was mostly known as an interior designer (and a socialite!) and designed the DiMera house, which lead to Stefano starting to become obsessed with her, but once Pat Falken Smith left it was sadly dropped.

Since Scotty Banning and Carrie Brady were childhood pals in the early eighties, they could've had a Scotty/Carrie/Austin love triangle in the mid nineties. Scotty would be a doctor, and Carrie would divorce Austin the first time and marry Scotty. Austin could've been in a new triangle with his brother, Lucas, and Lucas' love, Sami. Scotty and Carrie could've left town together in 1999, and Austin could marry Sami while Lucas was in his marriage to Nicole at the time. In 2005, Scotty could've find love with Sami after his marriage to Carrie had failed. As for Mike Horton, I would have paired him up with Billie Reed. To utilize the black characters Jonah and Wendy, I would use the template of David/Valerie interethnic union on Days and apply that to Scotty/Wendy and have a Jonah/Wendy/Scotty union.

Let me know what you think.

I didn't know Carrie and Scotty were friends. That was very untapped potential for storylines, especially when she returned in 2006 and was stuck back with Austin again.

David Banning should never have been aged in 1975. They should have brought back Steve Olson, and he could've had David's 1970s and 1980s stories. Steve Olson could have been in an inrterethnic relationship with Valerie Grant, married Trish Clayton in 1977, and had their first child, Spencer, together. Steve could have been paired with Kayla Brady way back when Catherine Mary Stewart was playing her in the early eighties and the two could have had the potential of being one of the biggest supercouples on Days of Our Lives. Renee DiMera could have been in a popular love triangle between Steve and Kayla. Eventually, Steve and Kayla could have married and had a daughter, Stephanie, who could've have been a Horton biologically instead of a Johnson.

Valerie Grant could've been brought back and used as a romantic foil between Abe and Lexie or even Stefano and Celeste.

Days should have waited until the early eighties when Bo and Hope was first brought on to age David Banning. David could've been in the same teen group as Bo and Hope. Instead of marrying Renee DiMera, David could've have married Renee's half-sister, Megan Hathaway, much to the dismay of David's parents, Doug and Julie, since Megan was a DiMera like Renee. David would have had more to do during the eight'sies and well into the nineties. He could've been Lawrence Alamain's rival for Dr. Carly Manning's affections.

As for Steve's son, Spencer, Rick Hearst should have played him instead of his cousin, Scotty Banning. All of Scotty's late eighties/early nineties stories should have went to Spencer with Rick Hearst playing the role.

Days should have waited until the nineties and placed Scotty in the teen group with Carrie, Austin, Lucas, Jaime, Sami, Jonah, and Wendy.
