Yeah she does. Well that's a perfect example because though Aaliyah could look "hard" when she actually spoke you could tell she was actually quite a soft spoken sweet person.

I don't know why people making a big deal out of the first Lily not being black when Dru & Malcolm are half white in real life.

Dru and Malcolm are mixed and look mixed, Christel Kahlil doesn't look mixed, not even Jennifer Beals-esque. She looks more hispanic/middle eastern to me. And don't forget about Neil, no way Dru and Neil's daughter would come out looking like Khalil.
