August 24, 201015 yr Author Member Dolan left the role...after Parker was there for a while, the exec producer actually met with Dolan to see if she could come back...they felt that Parker came off too soft. Parker found out about it as they had lunch in her neighborhood (Dolan lived close by) so Parker went to the producer and said, "If you want a spitfire, I can give you spitfire." and they kept her and Dolan went to ATWT. That's a great story. Given the way Maureen was written most of the time under Parker no wonder she played her as soft, but when she did get the chance to go off on someone, Parker was great at that too.
August 28, 201015 yr Member A lot of "Who??" going on over here, and wow, to start it off with a young man who passed away so young seems like one of life's cruel jokes. I would love to hear Todd Curtis or one of the McCandless sons share BTS stories of what life was like for the young cast of Capitol, all of that sordid early '80s L.A. living. Ooooff!! @ James Reynolds' "bangs". Edited August 28, 201015 yr by SFK
