Given the announcement that Charles Shaughnessy is returning as Shane and that Patsy Pease is returning for Alice's funeral as Kim, speculation is that Days will finally reunite the popular supercouple. Since Kimberly was recently diagnosed off-screen with cancer, it looks like her health crisis could push her and Shane back together.

I think this is a great idea. Marlena/John, Jack/Jennifer, and Patch/Kayla all reunited and are living happily off-screen, so Shane and Kimberly should reunite as well. I don't know why they didn't do this sooner. Charles Shaughnessy returned in 2002 and that would've been a great opportunity to reunite Shane and Kim. But better late than never, right?

That would be fantastic if it happens. I've long said that before this show ends, they should find a way to reunite these two. Shane/Kayla should've never happened IMO.
