Ed Scott is EP. Jack Smith is just not a good headwriter, period. I say they take a chance and get newblood to run the show.

I disagree. Y&R has always promoted from within their long-time staff and that's how it should be. Kay Alden wrote decent storylines during her run and was Bill Bell's right-hand woman for eons. I say put her back in the HW's seat and maybe give her someone like Trent Jones to be her co-HW. Ditch Sally Sussman Morina. Put Ed Scott in the EP chair and ship Jack Smith's ass the hell back to Hawaii! Why'd they bring him out of retirement in the first place? He has TOO much power!
