I love Cassie and have always wanted her back long-term but I can see the dramatics in killing her. She's practically the saint of the Cramer family, and has a long history with Mitch, who would want her dead. It would also generate amazing material for Dorian if the show played it right which I'm not sure they will. I wouldn't want Langston dead; I think there's so much to mine in that relationship.

I guess with the thought of this turning into more of Dorian being in agony/people telling her its her own fault/Dorian trying and failing to rise from the ashes again, I'd rather they have gone in another direction. These deaths tend to be forgotten after a few weeks or less. Since they are already distancing Langston from Dorian and I think she has lost most of her personality, I would have rather seen the story about her death and how it affects Dorian, Starr, Markko. Cassie still has more history and a stronger personality, and could be used to bring River back again.
