*sigh* they made HB such a fool over Reva. He didn't "court" her as much as he bought her.

That's Miss Sally, Kyle Sampson's mother. Pat Barry, who played her, did play quasi-Phoebe characters, like Isabelle Alden on Loving, and Brooke's mother, Peg, on AMC.

NSA was weak as Michelle.  My favorite was Bethany Joie Lenz.  I thought Daniel Cosgrove really gelled ás both Bill Lewis on GL and Chris Hughes on ATWT.  Bill/Michelle not being endgame was for the best, Bill's best pairing by far was with Lizzie.  That pair was a bright spot during the end times.

 

Miss Sally was revealed to be the mother of both Billy Lewis and Kyle Sampson.  She really served it to Reva a few times IIRC.

That is Miss Sally, a former madam and an old "friend" of HB. She is the mother of Kyle Sampson, a rich businessman who, let's face it, was a placeholder character because Robert Newman (Josh) and Chris Bernau (Alan) had left the show. Consequently, he became Reva's love interest and the "mover and shaker" character who drove a lot of plot.

Going back to Miss Sally, at first everyone  thought Kyle was HB's son. He and Sally let everyone believe that because they didn't want people to know BILLY was actually Sally's son by HB.

Almost as soon as RN and CB returned to the show, Kyle and Miss Sally were written out, though Miss Sally came back briefly after Marah was born because she suspected she was Kyle's daughter. (She wasn't).

Wasn't Brooke's mother the head of a drug cartel with the code name Cobra? Am I remembering that correctly?

WAY back in the day Barry also played Addie Horton on DOOL, Julie and Hope's mother.

Oh so that's Billy's mother?? Interesting. That's odd they wouldn't bring her back for anything Billy/HB related. I get why she wouldn't if Kyle left the canvas. So wait, that means Reva got with HB, Billy, Josh and Kyle, who was also sort of a stepbrother (at one point) to Billy? She really got everyone in that family huh haha.

Kyle and Billy were HALF brothers!

Yeah, one of those instances where they did this BIG reveal and...it hardly impacted the show at all.

Pat was on many soaps. One I wish I could see some of was her first soap, with Rosemary Prinz, called First Love.

I'm curious to see how the other Michelle's are after Budig, but I'm surprised more people didn't enjoy Budig. Maybe it's because she was the first SORAS'ed version, but I think she's so good. She's been a much bigger part of GL than I ever realized Budig was back then. I know her most iconic role is AMC's Greenlee, but I have to say, she is killing it as Michelle Bauer too.

If I had never seen Rachel Miner I'd probably be OK with her. She's perfectly decent as Michelle, if a bit cold and old for the part.

Well, why should Billy's parentage affect HIM, when it was obviously just a stumbling block to Kyle and Reva's game of lust?

*sigh* While the buildup played out over at least six months (we knew Billy was Sally's child by at least June, if not before), and there wasn't any direct fall out (Billy has a melt down and forgives both HB and Sally within weeks), I see it affecting both Mindy and Billy's marriages. Billy starts playing Big Daddy when Mindy and Kurt fight, and he bends over backwards accepting Ms. Sally as his mother, and she starts squabbling with Vanessa. Both situations strain Billy and Van's marriage.

They never played it out more because they killed Ms. Sally off in '87. Of course, that was about Reva too, as she found out that Alex knew Marah wasn't Kyle's child and had a heart attack. (Billy was off the canvas at this point, as was Kyle.)
