Then why with the links I provided was PROOF she was sought as for Victoria? If they did NOT want to write for her it makes NO sense to go after Gina Tognoni for the role. I don't get what happened?

August 18, 200916 yr Member i seriously doubt that AH ever admitted she was miscast in the role of victoria. When she first joined, she said viewers should expect a much different Victoria with her, because she can't deliver what Heather Tom delivered. http://www.theyoungandtherestless.com/specials/interviews_detail_446.html After several call backs later, she got the part and Genoa City will have Victoria Newman back in town. So what does she plan to bring to the role? "I'd say it's going to be night and day. She's still going to be a strong character but there's a sensitive vulnerable side to it that I will probably bring. That's just my personality and Heather Tom (ex-Victoria) -- when I was watching her work -- is just so strong. I knew I couldn't play it like that but [the producers] said its okay and let's let Victoria go in the direction you want to take her as long as she's strong. Also, when Heather Tom left OLTL, Amelia told SOD, I believe, she would understand if TPTB at Y&R wanted to bring Heather Tom back, since it is HT's role and that HT is the one people most identify as Victoria. Sounds to me she was never very confident playing this role and knew she wasn't the right fit for it. I mean, what actress admits that she would be OK with her predecessor coming back to the role she's currently employed in? Edited August 18, 200916 yr by Y&RWorldTurner
