What I LOVE about Y&R dialog, apart from being stylized to the hilt and melodramatic is that the whole cast speaks ENGLISH. Not much slang, not many turns of phrase. Just clean, proper, grammar correct, Queen's ENGLISH. There is an intelligence to Y&R that no soap can touch. AMC came close back in the day...but that's long gone now.
