Members kandbar
Hopefully they will advertise that the "real" Greenlee is murdered.
Members reallyhateskateonlost
David's actions have unforeseen consequences...he does lose his heart to someone...w/ Adam on the other side, Pratt is trying to rebuild what worked for Krystal & still forge new ideas. UGH. I dislike anything coming up between David and Krystal. I wish Pratt would get rid of Krystal all together, and free David from her and being Babe's father. Now that would be must see tv. Members All My Shadows
In a battle of Ryan vs. Zach, I want Ryan to massacre Zach's smug ass. I dislike them both, but Ryan's fans aren't as pushy and ridiculous. Also, Ryan was likable longer than Zach ever was. I lost interest in Zach after the first couple of months. I liked Ryan from when I started watching (June 2001) until he left the next summer, and then I liked him when he came back. After a few months of that, though, I just couldn't bear his "I'm the closest thing to family that they've [the Kanes] got!" ass. And plus, Ryan wasn't the cause of a serial killing spree! Members Caramel
I like Zach more than Ryan (and Zach, like it or not, has a place within a core family, just as they have shoe-horned Ryan into), but I can't wait for Zach to get brought down a bit for his double-standards; he and Ryass share this in common. And I do agree that fans go too far with their hate and dislike to the point where they cannot see the significance of certain characters. I can see this, but it should also be looked at how the show runners will tear down certain characters to boost others who should rightfully get their comeuppance. Ryan an Greenlee has gotten away with SO MUCH that it is hard to root for them as "good" characters. Zach is straddling that fence (as he should), but he is in danger of being no better than Ryan (some fans make this worse). I will look at how they play the Kendall fallout before I say anything more about this rivalry. But it IS a long time coming...
Members BethP
That's because Ryan doesn't have a discernable fanbase....not online, at least. Also, Ryan was just as much the cause of a recent murder/stabbing/death-plotting spree (by his insane wife) as Zach was of his insane father's killing spree. I'm no rabid Zach fan, but in this fight? I want Zach to kick Ryan's ass back to the stone age.
Members SteveFrame
The thing that I don't get is the fans (won't say who) that are blaming Bianca in all this and just let Zach slide. Bianca didn't give Zach a handjob and steal his sperm. He did the job himself. It didn't get in that cup alone. Zach could have said no. Zach has never been written as a perfect character - yet too many he is perfect. He is one of the most arrogant characters on TV and the most selfish - yet to hear and read some comments it is as if his [!@#$%^&*] don't stink. As far as who wins with Ryan and Zach I could care less but I would have to admit that I would very much enjoy seeing Ryan beat the [!@#$%^&*] out of Zach. He needs to be brought down two or three notches off the pedestal he has put himself on.
Members BethP
I completely respect your opinion, Steve, and I agree that Zach is arrogant and could stand to be brought down a peg or two. But by Ryan Lavery of all people? Talk about the pot calling the kettle black when it comes to being put on a pedestal!! And what makes me like Zach more is that at least Zach gets called out in the writing of the show--most of the time, people are allowed to hate him and tell him he's an ass...but Ryan? He's the town hero all the time, no exceptions---and even if he tries to blame himself or take responsibility for something, there's always some character standing by to tell him it's not his fault and he's a hero, and he can't blame himself, etc. etc. Ryan IMO seems to buy his own press, while Zach doesn't. Also, without getting into actor bashing....to me, Zach is much more tolerable even when he's being an ass, because he's portrayed by a good actor. That may be the root of it for me more than anything.
Members SteveFrame
Personally I don't care who brings Zach or Ryan down. just as long as someone does. As far as talent. I see that Thorsten and Cameron have their moments but to say either one of them are great actors is a big stretch of the imagination for me. They both can do well with the right material but they are not as great as either of their fan bases make them out to be. Sorry but that is just my opinion on both of them. I do know that the lady that I used to talk to at the Nielsen's says that Cameron's Q rating is actually higher than Thorsten's - at one time I know it was quite a bit higher. I have no idea if it still is. That just says that more people recognize who Cameron is than they do Thorsten which is why Cameron is used to advertise AMC more. As far as both characters I could care less about either one of them. If both left the show I wouldn't miss them at all, but I realize that both have fans and I know that a story featuring both of them will be good for AMC and that is all I care about right now. As far as who brings them down I don't care who it is. To me to try and praise either of them is a tough thing and why anyone would even want to is a mystery to me. I just love reading the posts where people try to compare the two of them and say this one is better than the other. It is like comparing one pile of [!@#$%^&*] to another pile of [!@#$%^&*]. In the end both are [!@#$%^&*] and they both stink.
Members Caramel
And that sums it up for me, in addition to the fact that, as Kendall fan- who calls her on her [!@#$%^&*], but likes her anyway, I loved what Zach brought to Kendall in the beginning. He was the ONLY one who supported and loved her for who she was and not trying to change her. Who this Zach person is now, and who has has been- if I am honest, is amazing to me, because he IS an ass. RE: The Gabby Fiasco Oh, no doubt, it baffles me how you can blame Bianca alone, but hey... when I am on the actor/character MBs, I try to live by the rules (and don't post, if I strongly disagree). Zach is JUST as flat out wrong- if not more. He should have asked Kendall FIRST or, hell, told her about the donation afterwards. The fact that he has been a nagging, lecturing d*ck to Kendall (who was crazy as hell to be in everyone's business- even if she was right) about secrets and being involved in other's lives is insane. No better than Ryass, IMO. BUT- I would hate to see Ryan take Zach down because it makes me even MORE angry that Ryan is billed as a hero when he is not. He needs to be called on his controlling, abusive ways and his anger issues (just like Zach, but add in the drinking and the fact that he lies and hides things from his wife). I just wish Frons (or whoever!) would let the writers do this. JMO
