JR Martinez is amazing. His real life injuries have been written into the Brot character. All of what Brot has been through, JR went through. But yeah, bad name choice. I think that in my head, I will call him Bret.

Wasn't it revealed that Taylor is in her late twenties? I hated Gus and Harley and I hate Gus and Harley, Pine Valley version. I love, love, love Jake and Amanda. I hope that if JR is good, that they keep him around because this does have the makings of a potentially great storyline

IMHO, Beth Ehlers cannot pass for late twenties. She looks every bit her age, if not older. I agree that I want Jake with Amanda. Taylor & Brot can stay together or leave Pine Valley together, or have someone else for Taylor.

I like him so far, a lot better than I do Jake and Taylor. Maybe it's his well-defined back story, but I feel like I already know more about him than any other new character Pratt has introduced so far. I don't have a problem with the age thing. Frankie's character is 25, plus Taylor's a LT. and seems to be lifer so it's natural to me that she'd be older than the guys in her unit.

I'm worried that AMC plans to only used him for sweeps and then he's gone. I don't think AMC intends to do a triangle. To me, he's kind of being written like Rebecca is for Angie and Jesse, except he isn't dying. It looks like she won't be around for long and I don't expect him to be either.

Me too! She really looked like she wasn't playing with a full deck BEFORE Brot's "death". I wonder if we'll see her again. And obviously Brot's dad was the latin one.
