Stefano's forefathers are buried in Salem? Huh?

I did like the Melanie/Philip scenes. I guess it's because of JKJ who has chemistry with everyone. Dude's a player.

He mentioned they were ancestors and then went on to say that he wanted Johnny to visit other family plots in Italy and New Orleans as well. He did mention while with Sami they were forefathers but that is essentially ancestors so no difference.

But why would Stefano's ancestors be buried in Salem?

^ They shouldn't be. Stefano, himself, didn't come to Salem until the 80s from Italy. Just a rewrite to serve the point.

And what point was that? LOL It didn't move the plot or anything. It was just (bad) background information.

I don't know, honestly. I heard that the scenes were meant to be on the park set, but that set was currently being used as the cemetery set. And since it would've cost to much for production to take down the tombstones and such, they just had Stefano take Johnny to the cemetery rather than the park, as weird as that is. And to explain why they were at the cemetery, they said that DiMera ancestors were buried there.

It's likely what Drew said and probably was a stupid mistake on the show's part. There are better ways to deal with set issues.

I will just keep the theory to myself and justify what happened in my head. Back to lurkdom...
