Rufus Sturm is back on Unter Uns! He looks really good and refreshed. The break did. him good. I just hope he ain’t sticking around long time again coz they didn’t knew what to do with him for the longest I can remember. I still hate the writers for ruining Original Character Anna Weigel for that snoozefest Rufus lol

It’s such a shame that the writers ruined the Leon/Gerner friendship back in the day (2007-ish) after Gerner faked the death of his own daughter and put Leon in a psychiatric clinic when he came behind it!

They should bring back Leon and let him help Gerner. Leon knows how it feels to be locked up in jail for something he didn’t do. (1998 when Charlie accidentally killed Thalberg and had a blackout for weeks)

At least Katrin believes Gerner and wants to help him. I love it

Jo Weil's character Dominic Adams has been revealed to be a trans man. It's a shame they didn't cast an actual trans actor for the part (like they did on GZSZ's Sunny spin-off).

On AWZ, Féréba Koné has joined the cast in the new contract role Imani Okana. She is going to be Deniz's new love interest.

Really enjoyed the 30th anniversary special episode!

Thought they did a good job of balancing a good story with the need to have the cast glammed up in a big location worthy of the anniversary at the end! The ending felt a little bit rushed / confused though to me.  The video suddenly getting up on the big screen didn't seem likely, and what was the original plan if Yvonne hadn't managed to get the phone?

Hope they've got some good stories lined up for the rest of the year!

I loved the episode so much. It’s in my top 3 anniversary episodes! It still can’t beat the 10th Anniversary in my opinion

The end was hella rushed. Like wth? Leon’s involvement was alright but nothing really special. U can really tell that Daniel Fehlow seems quiet over the show at this point.

And Katrin and Jo making out ? I mean I always loved them and it is lining up the new storyline but this happened so random. But THANK GOD and a big thank u to the writers for Including a mention of what Jo did to Katrin with Baby Johanna in 2007 where he made her believe that she died.
Can’t wait for Tobias/Katrin and Yvonne/Jo to be split up. I never liked Yvonne as his wife.

It’s a shame they couldn’t get Jos daughter Vanessa for a cameo at the funeral. I mean the actress is playing on Rote Rosen and could have spared some minutes.

I know Paul/Emily have a lot of fans but I do start to like Paul with Gina to be honest!

They probably didn't have enough time to edit new videos for these couples

Please register in order to view this content

All other videos were basically recycled older uploads.
Btw, I also loved GZSZ's first LGBT couple Saskia and Harumi back in 1996. They were only together for like 3 months, but they had such good chemistry.

On UU, there's been quite an unusual cast switchover this summer.

  • Constantin Lücke, who took over the role of Till Weigel in September 2020 after Ben Ruedinger had played the part for 20 years, left the show earlier this month.
  • Also gone are Till's girlfriend Mareike Ott (played by Mirja du Mont) and his son Conor (played by Yannik Meyer). Meyer was the first adult actor in the role and joined the cast in 2018.
  • Claudelle Deckert, who's played Till's on and off wife Eva Wagner since 2001, is taking an extended break. This week, Eva moves to Bruxelles with her latest lover Dominic (played by Jo Weil). Weil, whose character came out as transgender, is also departing the show.
  • Luca Maric, who's played Robert Küpper since January 2015, is rumoured to be leaving soon with his character being killed off. Until her shocking death three years ago, Robert was married to Weigel matriarch Irene.
  • Recurring character Theo Wolters is rumoured to be recast. Akeem van Flodrop has portrayed the friendly baker since 2020.
  • Last month, the show re-introduced the character of Marie Lassner, Rolf Jäger's daughter with Pia Lassner, who was born in 2009. Shortly after giving birth, Pia fled town with her newborn. Now a teenager, Marie arrived in town to learn more about her past and her crazy family. Marie has three half-siblings: Tobias Lassner, David Junker, and Fiona Jäger. The latter was killed off earlier this year in a "shocking" twist. Marie is played by Maira Kellers in a recurring capacity.
  • Last but not least, 64-year old actress Iris Werlin joins the cast as Corinna's aunt Lulu Schwarz who is supposed to stir up the lives of Corinna and her husband Chris Weigel. Ironically, Schwarz (which means Black) was also the maiden name of Chris's late mother Irene, and in the early years, the show featured Irene's brother and niece who also had Schwarz as their last name. I guess the producers aren't very creative when it comes to choosing family names.

I always wondered why they never brought back Antonia Schwarz (Irenes niece and Till’s cousine).. She was heavily featured between 1994-1997.

And Olaf Schwarz never got mentioned much after his departure in episode 201. (The actor itself became a long featured actor on the teen soap “Schloss Einstein” a couple of years later)

Corinna has a gay brother. They should bring him in.

AWZ got me a bit hooked again. Henning/Daniela Are cute as hell.
Chiara getting a rival with Leyla and her new friendship to Jill and the pressure from Simone is getting to her. Chiara is my favorite character on that show and I hate Leyla.

Malu/Justus Custody Battle is hilariously bad written and acted but I’m into it somehow and want Malu to win. I have never been a fan of Malu but her storys are quiet good from the drama perspective. Between two brothers and now a custody battle. Only thing that bothers me is that she wrecked Natalie and Maximilians reunion. They finally made up and a lie from Malu ruined it again.

i can’t wait for the 4000th Episode coming up!

awz always gives me some Hollyoaks kinda vibes if I am being honest

    • Thanks. I'm glad we have some fan memories of these years as this is such a typically snide take on the genre. It's also poorly written and reminds me a great deal of the tedious "snark" recaps that became popular in the '90s. The end in particular. The 1979/80 stuff I have seen is much more polished than a number of soaps at the time. It was very easy to watch and not too bogged down in past story.  Margo is played by Ann Williams, who was on what seemed like every soap. I think she said Margo was her favorite role.  These episodes aren't consecutive, but if you ever have time, they are worth a watch. They are bits and pieces from January and April of 1979 - April in and out of prison, her past calling to her via her psychic powers (and the suicide of Miles' wife Denise, who had murder framing in mind). April 1979 has the end of Winter Austen (such a fantastic soap name).  I don't want to drop a ton of links but you can find playlists on Youtube.
    • And the rating 'wars' continue...hehe.
    • Well, it was fun while it lasted for Rebecca Herbst. Le sigh.
    • I am wholeheartedly enjoying this show. I just haven't been able to post as much as I used to. But yes, this episode needs to be submitted for the EMMYs and there needs to be wins. I better NOT see Y&R, DAYS, or B&B winning in categories over BTG. I feel like the only show that is giving BTG an ounce of competition this season is GH.
    • I never thought the day would come, but too much MM for me.
    • I think it may be that the character was brought in for a specific purpose and then became popular with viewers, and the show didn't know how to respond.  The choice to pivot away from Simon/India may show that you are right and they didn't care for her...although pairing them up may be another sign they didn't care for her. I don't connect well with this period but it does make me happy seeing some of these characters before the great purge and some of the surprises - I'd forgotten the wonderful Maureen O'Sullivan popped up to be bumped off. So typical of soaps by this point, but it doesn't grate as much as later on when Y&R would bring on any random cast member from Small Wonder. I'm also amazed at this time at just how much money the show must have had. The costumes for the Founder's celebration in summer 1984, or whatever it was, looked gorgeous.
    • Which officially started to feel that way today with them hearing each other out as they confronted each other at the same time.    Same. He was even catching himself when he was about to go overboard or do those tics that people don't seem to like. He failed a bit at the end, but he carried. It makes me think about a month back when it was discussed that the actor was better in other things he's been in. And I questioned then if that meant that he was playing Martin more intentionally. I questioned that briefly again today because he was giving.
    • I really like the actress who plays Margo. Don't know  her name. I'm so hesitant to google anyone because I don't want to know the length they were on the show. I've watched two episodes and I have to say that the show does not feel as dated as other shows. I tried to watch Ryan's Hope a few weeks back and some of the acting was a bit rough. EON is a lot more natural which amuses me considering it's a mystery/thriller show.
