August 3, 200817 yr Author Member He cant exactly go "hey, writer, btw" when he gets his daily script and then have them chuck out months of story plans. Its the writers job to know these things. I think that's exactly what he should say when they hand him a script that isn't possible/plausible. That way by the next day, or the same episode, they can have a new line in the script explaining how it is possible. They certainly have enough scenes per day of people looking vacant at the camera before they cut to commercial that can be cut to accommodate an extra ten seconds of dialogue. It is stupid stuff like this that alienates viewers away from these shows and it makes the whole production look stupid, not just the writers, when homework isn't done and no one gives a [!@#$%^&*] to tell them so. Maybe Eric wants the writers to look like jackasses, because that's exactly how they look in my eyes.
