January 20, 2009 cannot come soon enough...

I wish it would mean an end but I don't think it can at this point. *fingers crossed that it can*

Iraqis are going insane after being in this situation so long.

Can you imagine if North America were in this situation? We're all so opinionated and headstrong, and used to freedom. Perhaps we'd never let it get this far.

Of course that is not good news.

But when you look at the entire picture, which the media does not, things are a million times better now than before.

My brother and my wifes boss who have been there or still are there, are pissed off that the media does not highlight all the good going on.

We only hear deaths and destruction. And when no one is dying, you hear NOTHING.

The US military is rightfully ticked off about their work not being in the headlines...and I would be too.

Thankfully McCain and several others had the vision to call for this surge to correct the mistakes and miscalculations of the administration.

We don't hear enough as far as I am concerned. We don't see the worst of it. And I can never forgive McCain for his part in the Keating Five. He's a liar and a crook.
