"I Hate Todd"

And as for Starr...I'm fine with her, she's exactly who I thought she would be...a perfect combination of her mother and father. She's also a teen and most of the teens on soaps are bratty, whiny and the world revolves around them, especially since *gasp* that's what many of them are like in real life.

I also don't understand how Kristen is too young to play this storyline...she's 16...Starr's 16...16 year olds do have sex...not seeing the problem, but maybe that's because I'm not hung up on the fact on the 'I watched her grow up' thing. Eh...this is supposed to be art imitating life with drama...well this is it.

i coudltn agree more.

however, i think kristen is a weak actress and a much stronger actress is needed in this role.

And that's where we differ, because I think that Kristen is doing a good job with this material. So I'm fine with her acting and her in the role.

And I have to add that the fact that IT IS Kristen playing this storyline makes it all the much better. It's nice to see characters grow at a normal rate on screen and that helps with investment, if they were suddenly to recast and change Starr...*I* would have no use for this story and OLTL would go into the same pile that it was in for years...forgettable.

i agree. i just wish someone would send the gilr to acting school. she isnt HORRID, but she could be so much better. she actually does good overall, its the little things that annoy me. and her face expressions.

I agree. More studying. And if they did change her, i don't think it'd be problematic to get another 16 year old actress. Recasting doesn't mean older. It should be better though LOL. They recast Jessica, and the original actress on that show was on probably longer than Kristen has been.

Kristen seems as if she really isn't present in the scene, like she's still reading from the script and the character hasn't become alive within her yet. So, she overacts. I hope someone on that set sits her down and explains how terrible she is so she can get lessons. If they're telling her she's the best thing since sliced bread, we'll have to listen to her screeching for 20 more years.

Since OLTL does have some elements that are far-fetched (multiple personalities and a character as extreme as Todd), it's probably best that they haven't SORASed the characters because it grounds it in reality. Look at Antonio's daughter too, even though she's just about the most minor child actor on the show. It's always the same little girl.

I sometimes love the character of Todd, sometimes hate Todd. Right now I hate Todd again after the way he's treated Starr and Cole. I do NOT think Kristen Alderson is a weak actress whatsoever. She's good and did the recent stuff with her Todd, Blair & Cole well imho. I also think Brandon Buddy has become quite good, although he started out quite pitiful.

Trevor St. John plays Todd almost exactly the way Roger Howarth did, and IMHO is a better actor than Howarth. But after what Todd's done to Starr and Cole, I hope Blair will divorce him and I kinda wish ONE LIFE would axe Todd when he's like that.
