Gag on Kathie Lee... but wait, this is NBC, where having a brain counts as a strike against you.

A fourth hour of Today won't affect Days because it already affected Passions. NBC already programs four hours of Today, although the fourth hour is not seen in all markets.

There already is a fourth hour. ;)

... And a fifth ... and a sixth ...

Heck, they might as well rename it the Today Channel.

Actually, couldn't this maybe be good for DAYS? If NBC is bringing Kathie Lee in to appeal to even more female viewers, wouldn't it make sense to try and bring those in to watch the 4th hour of TODAY in hopes that they'll then stay tuned in to watch DAYS? After all, isn't it women who all the advertisers covet anyway. Probably just wishful thinking, lol

They are merely bringing on a different host for the fourth hour. They expanded to four hours back in September which is why Passions was cancelled. Some affilates don't even carry the fourth hour and some show it in the afternoon instead of in the morning.
