During the week of February 16-20, 2026, NBC aired continued coverage of the 2026 Winter Olympics (Milano Cortina), which fully preempted “NBC News Daily.” Despite the increased competition from the games, CBS’ daytime dramas set new season highs among Women 18-49 and Women 25-54, with “The Young and the Restless” and “The Bold and the Beautiful” in particular marking new season highs among Total Viewers.
For the week, “The Bold and the Beautiful” set a new season high among Women 18-49 (0.33 rating), Women 25-54 (0.42 rating) and Total Viewers (3.060 million). Among Women 25-54, the series saw its best performance in the demo since the week of June 2-6, 2025. Meanwhile, among Total Viewers, this is the show’s best performance since at least the week of November 21-25, 2022 (3.060 million vs. 3.286 million)*. Additionally, the drama series outperformed itself against week two of the 2026 Winter Olympics, outperforming week two of the 2022 Winter Olympics among Total Viewers (3.060 million vs. 2.941 million), up +119,000, and was virtually on par among Women 18-49 (0.33 rating vs. 0.35 rating).
“The Young and the Restless” also set new season highs among Women 18-49 (0.28 rating), Women 25-54 (0.49 rating) and Total Viewers (3.473 million). This was the long-running soap opera’s best performance among Women 18-49 since the week of July 28 – August 1, 2025, and its best in Women 25-54 since the week of June 23-27, 2025. Meanwhile, among Total Viewers, this was also the show’s best performance since at least the week of November 21-25, 2022 (3.473 million vs. 3.488 million)*. Additionally, its performance opposite week two of the 2026 Winter Olympics saw the scripted drama series virtually on par with its performance opposite week two of the 2022 Winter Olympics among Total Viewers, down by a mere 32,000 viewers (3.473 million vs. 3.505 million).
Despite a minor drop in viewership from last week, “Beyond the Gates” set a new season high among Women 18-49 (0.18 rating) and Women 25-54 (0.29 rating). The soap opera was up +0.05 week-to-week among Women 18-49 (0.18 rating vs. 0.13 rating) and up +0.06 week-to-week among Women 25-54 (0.29 rating vs. 0.21 rating), even in Women 18-49 (0.18 rating) with the year-ago average performance of the “Entertainment Tonight” daytime special “Beyond the Gates: Welcome to the Neighborhood” and repeat broadcasts of “The Bold and the Beautiful,” which aired in the show’s time slot ahead of its premiere, and up +0.01 among Women 25-54 (0.29 rating vs. 0.28 rating). This was the show’s best performance since the week of September 15-19, 2025, among both Women 18-49 (0.18 rating) and Women 25-54 (0.29 rating vs. 0.30 rating).
