I'm sorry you're feeling so put-upon, Casey.

While I do intend to vote Dem, it has been nice reading your posts supporting McCain because you've been quite civil-- unlike another nameless Republican supporter who posts really rude comments once in a blue moon.

I apologize only because I know that some of us get a little excited in this thread and a bit threatened at the idea of another 4 yrs of a Republican in the White House (at least that's how I feel). I have nothing against McCain supporters. I'd like you to keep posting. I'd be happy to respond to your posts-- except I'm not that good at searching out links and the like to support my positions (I usu. get my info from the Daily Show & other lighter-hearted shows; watching any of the main-stream media is like drinking poison to me).

Everybody keeps saying, "they" are judging her for raising a family. No, they aren't. They're judging her for the problems with her daughter and son. If you're going to judge somebody like Jamie Lynn Spears (who matters ZERO in the scheme of things), then why should Palin's family be out of target?

Wasn't it McCain who made the ugly comment about Chelsea Clinton? :P

Oops :P

Anyway, has there actually ever been anybody who matters (anyone in the Obama camp) make a comment about her family? It seems to me that Palin and her supporters have made up this whole story about judging her for raising a family, just to get sympathy and support for her.

And I don't understand why you'd vote for McCain instead of Obama, on the subject of Clinton. If you liked Clinton, you probably favored abortion and were relatively socially liberal. And then you side with McCain (assumingly because of Palin) who is pretty much the opposite of her?

Nobody in the Obama camp has said anything about her family. Obama, in fact, said that her family was off limits. I also do not understand why a Clinton supporter would vote for McCain/Palin. I think Hillary has done a great job pointing that out and I believe she will continue to do so.

I think a lot of this stuff is starting to run its course. I'm a little disappointed in the media. There is no excuse for the media to continue reporting a lot of this stuff from the McCain camp as if it is fact.

Wow.

After seeing the flurry of anti-Palin posts, catching snippets of McCain's appearance on "The View", and excerpts from Palin's ABC interview, I must say that I'm most definitely voting for McCain/Palin.

I'll be honest... the constant barrage of negativity -- what was obviously rude behavior by some of the "hosts" on "The View" towards McCain (I saw Whoopie rolling her eyes) -- I just can't help but want to go against the grain. It drives me insane to see someone who should be respected, regardless of ideoogy, being treated poorly or in an unsulting manner. It's obvious McCain wasn't treated as well on "The View" as Obama was on Oprah, eh? Apparently a lot of people feel this same way given McCain's surge in the polls across the country.

The high-pitched drone of negative attacks has just become annoying. <<places hand to ear to hear the comment from afar... "Oh, so the *McCAIN* people aren't being negative?!?">> Ummm, my response to that question is, I guess I'm just not watching the same channels or visiting the same websites as you.

Honestly, the anti-Palin crowd is doing more to get her elected than her own ticket. People don't like this sort of thing...
