^^^^ :huh::huh:

Thanks for the USA Today article, wicca. I haven't been on this thread since the beginning, but I haven't seen anyone not wanting to discuss issues or being ignored.

Scroll back and see if anyone answered back to the points I have raised.

Wow.....so because the crowd laughed and "put two and two together" that means Obama was referring to Palin?

I guess had he said "if it walks like a duck, and talks like a duck, it's a duck" then he would have been making racist remarks about Ducks?

McCain was "obviously" referring to Hilary when he mentioned lipstick, because Hilary wears lipstick. If I were a woman, I would be offended.

I mean seriously, wow....

*note, that was me getting on my "left-wing conspiracy agenda soapbox*

<_<

So McCain was, but Obama wasn't? You're joking right? I will go as far as to admit I think both were refering to women-- McCain to Hillary and Obama to Palin..

The main point I would like to make is that no matter if Obama meant Palin or not...he will be spending crucial time on the defensive about this..It will not help him..He goofed!

Obama says McCain-Palin change mantra is like "lipstick on a pig"

This is getting ridiculous.

Obama is not helping his cause. I thought he was above this kind of stuff..

Now, Casey, you were the first person to post this last night. After Wales posted a article stating that McCain had said the very same thing, you didn't post again. NOW you are saying that you have tried to get back to the issues but you have been ignored.

1. Who posted this material in the first place here?

2. Since the time you posted this when have you gotten back to the issues?

I'm just curious.

Casey....it's called being sarcastic. I was making a very GIGANTIC leap when I said McCain was "obviously" talking about Hillary. Do you see where I'm coming from? Obama is obviously talking about Palin, but McCain wasn't talking about Clinton.

That is what I'm being told. Yet when I flip it, I'm "joking?"

One of the things that generally happens in posting is that you put yourself in a position to determine what's worthwhile pursuing (in my case it depends on how entertaining it is) and what is not.

I've already stated my position on the lipstick fiasco and I have no intention of going around and around on it since I find it to be fake outrage on the Republicans and that's for them and the media to make into a major storyline. Nothing McCain says is pursued with such vigor and all of the lies and half truths are absolutely okay because he's not Obama. I get that already. Hours and hours of discussion is not going to change that.

What I care about is the changing face of America and the resistance of the religious right to it. Kids are taught in school that Martin Luther King Jr pursued civil rights. He is honored by a holiday.....no thanks to McCain who voted against it....I really don't care about trying to dress something old up in new clothes since underneath it's still the same old thing.

Sorry I went to bed....I am posting about it now.

Furthermore, this is not a pertanent issue in my opinion. But to add passion back into this thread, I brought it up. The real issues were not getting much discussion.

Yeah, I thought you were being sarcastic...or joking...that's what I was asking.

Fantastic! Lets get back to issues that will effect Americans.

Thank you for that JP..

I think I actually side with Obama more on immigration than McCain! :o I'm not joking!

McCain wants no one deported. I have to disagree. I think if you came in illegally then you should pay the price.

And maybe the people who post this crap and start this in the first place will remember that.

And IMO, find out who is legal or who isn't, and ship them back home. Ok? :)

I wish I could take everything I love about McCain, everything I love about Obama and put them into one person.
