Roman I started to watch KO but I ended up on a call so sorry....

Every time I hear does she want the vp, I know the media needs something to say. Ted Kennedy pretty much broke it down.

Hilary Clinton is political liability for Obama and he doesn't need her period. He's being respectful while she and her husband are using code language to split the party up and acting like their just some good old folks who don't mean no harm. Are they cut throat negotiators or good old folks?

Since Obama is speaking of hope, change and unity then Miss Blacks in the Back isn't the right one for his ticket.

I never said they had a deal...just that it looks like they worked one out already. I hope they have because a lot of Democrats want them both on the ticket

I never said he should take a back seat to her...if he is on as president, I will accept it because I like Obama as well. She has not lost yet and he has not won. Get that through your head. It takes 2,025 to win. It is quite possible that the remaining superdelegates are from districts or states she has won and they will go with their people in voting for her.

With regards to the USA Today comment, is it about how she appeals to white working people? That is a matter of fact and not offensive. She does appeal to them and Obama does as well. She is not going to say black working people because he attracts them more than she does...so she had to be specific. It is time we stop taking every comment someone says as racist...she was not racist in saying such a thing.

Obama does not have the most SDs...she is still winning but by a smaller margin....show a poll where he is doing better against McCain because, so far, the ones I have seen are showing her ahead.

He does need her if 30% of her supporters flock to McCain in November. I am not one of that 30% but McCain will win with Republican votes and 30% of Hillary supporters. Mathematically, Obama cannot overcome that risk and he would be a fool to take that risk.

Do you honestly expect to believe a poll you recommend?

And to me, and alot of other people, that was downright racist in what she said. If you don't see that, that's your problem.

She has lost. Get THAT through your head. You expect the party to cut their throat just because you feel she should be the Nom. So do you care about the party or not? There is now NO WAY she can catch up to him in popular vote, PDs, and since he has either tied or past her in SDs (Some of which are HER OWN PEOPLE) her day is done.

But........if you want to believe that some miracle will happen, and everyone will forget the garbage she recently said on top of everything else her campaign has done, go right ahead.

And President Obama and VP Richardson will be laughing all the way to Washington.

Let me post this ONE MORE TIME.

From the WSJ:

A majority of voters now say they want Democrats to re-capture the White House again, a finding that makes Sen. McCain's position remarkable: He's in a statistical dead-heat against either Democrat in the poll. Sen. Obama, the Democratic front-runner, leads Sen. McCain 46% to 43%, and Sen. Clinton has a 45% to 44% edge over the Republican. A big reason for the closeness: More voters said they could identify with Sen. McCain's "background" and "values" than with those of either of the Democratic contenders.

Where's the 30% you keep talking about?

The polls I recommend are usually spot on with who will be the winner.

I don't have to see anything that is racist when I do not see it that way...she spoke about a group she appeals to and it would be like Obama saying he appeals to black working people...because that is what he does! She attracts certain people and so does he. She cannot say "working people" because not all working people support her.

Nobody has lost until one gets to 2,025 and I am telling you Obama will have a loss if she is not on as VP if he wins the nomination because, with the GOP support and 30% of her supporters, McCain will win. Of course I care about the party since I want to see everyone vote for the Democrats this year...that is why I support letting the contests continue so everyone voices their opinion.

What she said about attracting white people is not garbage...it is the truth. Usually, racist statements are lies but she spoke the truth. It is not, IMO, racist.

McCain will laugh to The White House if Obama is stupid enough to not put her on as VP since almost a third of her supporters will go for him.

He does not need her. If you believe that 30% of her supporters will flock to McCain then great. It doesn't mean that Obama won't be able to capture a significant enough number of those who won't vote for McCain or people who didn't vote in the primaries to overcome McCain. Nor does it mean that another vice presidential candidate won't be able to attract some of those voters or enough other voters to make up the deficit.

He can't stress a message of hope and change with someone on the ticket who is willing to alienate certain voters so she can get her White House.

It's not a question of whether or not she was accurately quoting AP, it's the fact that she said it period. Who said fact could not be offensive? You might not see it as offensive but can you at least understand that some people do? It's a racially divisive comment. People that see it as divisive may not see her as a racist. It's okay for people to see Obama using poor phrasing about bitterness as insulting to masses but it's not okay for someone to be offended by the implication that hard working people are white and/or hard working white people and white people without college education vote for Hilary Clinton?

I don't have to believe it when the polls say that and, if you think he can win with 30% of her supporters going for McCain, think again. It won't happen. I hate to be pessimistic about it but I am also realistic about that risk and I hope Obama is as well. I would say someone who has a plan to create jobs, push a universal health care plan, improve schools, and end the war as someone who possesses an agenda of change and hope.

I do not think of it as offensive but yes I get that others do. I just feel she said it to show who she appeals to and it would be vague if she just said "the working class"...so she was specific since not everyone in the working class is for her. If people want to be offended over that comment, that is fine. But I will also speak up and say I find it non offensive. So agree to disagree on the white working class people comment...but agree on electing a Democrat to The White House :)
