Great thread!

I am thankful very much for ALL of the following things:

-My health and the health of my family/friends

-My beautiful girlfriend, who I love more than anything

-That i live somewhere that is safe.

-Simply because I get to live...I am thankful for just being alive and living my life everyday.

I'm never good at these lists. I always forget something.

- my loving partner, husband, I'll never regret making it official. I am thankful for every day we share.

- my daughter and granddaughter. 'nuff said

- my mother, my sister and my two surviving brothers. Especially you, Mom. Without your guidance and parenting skills, we would be merely strangers related by blood.

- my late brother. I miss you like crazy. You are the coolest person I ever knew. I didn't have to be brave when you were around. I think about you every day and wish I could have been there for you as you were for me.

- my late half-sister. I wish I had known you earlier, but in our short time we connected. I'll never forget

you.

- My best friends (one since grade 5)

- My late father

- My career

- My loving cat

And I hate to be shallow, but - my finacial security/solvency

- My parents, without them I don't know where I'd be. They have been my financial support, emotional support and my lifeline for a long time. I'm not sure what I'd do without them.

- My online friends - some who have become my BFFs and I am so thankful to have them in my life. They are my rock and we've been through a lot together in the last 6 years.

- My dogs - they are my roommates and two of them have been with me for 14 years, the other one has been with us for 6 years. They're my kids and I love all three of them very much.

- My family - we are a dysfunctional bunch but we all love each other, even if we don't say the words.

- Soaps - if it weren't for GH, I wouldn't of met some of the most wonderful people in the last 6 years. And if it weren't for Chad Brannon, I wouldn't of met my two closest friends. He is truly someone special to me. It's really amazing how GH has brought so many good things to me - SON, my fanfic, my two closest friends, traveling and meeting a lot of wonderful people, and overcome fears that I never would of overcome if it hadn't been for my GH travels. Sounds weird, but true.

Those are the things that I'm thankful for.

Jen

-My family. My mother keeps me sane... I'll probably shoot myself when she dies. Seriously. My two sisters, who are amazing and supportive with anything I do. My neices and nephews who are the closest thing to having my own children without having to feed them, change their sh!tty diapers or buy them clothes. My grandmother, who's completely old-fashioned and redneck, but I love her anyway because she loves me. All my life, I've been surrounded by women that I adore.

-The fact that I've never lost anyone (by way of death) that I love, so far. I don't deal very well with loss, so I imagine that when this happens, it'll be no easy feat.

-I'm healthy, and when I wake up every day, the worst I feel is sleepiness; no pain.

-I make enough money to where I can live comfortably without having to worry about how I'll pay the next bill.

-I now have a car with WORKING A/C AND HEAT!!

-My DVD collection includes the entire series of "The Golden Girls," which never ceases to make me smile and feel better when I've had a sh!tty day.

-Soap operas, no matter how bad they may get. I'm also thankful for forums such as these so that I can share my passion for soaps with others who feel the same way!

-And finally, perhaps what I'm most thankful for above all else... free internet porn. God Bless XTube.

    • I don't mind her in the role. At all.
    • Love this from the AP article on BTG: For years, Veronica Redd played Mamie Johnson — Drucilla’s aunt — on “The Young and the Restless.” When she tuned into the premiere of “Beyond the Gates,” what she saw got her attention, but what she heard blew her away. “I was not prepared,” laughs Redd. It begins with a women driving a Mercedes-Benz through the gates of an exclusive country club. The Emotions’ “Best of My Love” is playing — something that told Redd the production value was top notch. Daytime isn’t usually Redd’s favorite genre even though she acknowledges “it’s paid the bills for many decades.” “Beyond the Gates,” though, has earned a spot in Redd’s TV time. “They got me hooked,” she says. -
    • It's a shame because I like the actress, but she was miscast. I'd say they should pull a DAYS and put her in another role.
    • Theoretically, I would agree, but it seems like Paul Avila Mayer and Stephanie Braxton did such a number on Hogan, Sunny and Liza that reuniting Hogan and Sunny would've been a toxic situation.
    • She painfully sticks out, it’s awful. I can’t believe the producers don’t see this.
    • Deidre Hall did really well in that last scene hearing about them closing in on John. John's funeral is going to be tough to watch.
    • And this is why I use a different video hosting site. It's interesting to me that on IG Sony only hits current not vintage. Also there's no penalty as long as you delete.
    • Are we sure we're not going to go down a Natalia Grace storyline here?

    • Probably. Stephanie is still so underdeveloped as a character to me.  She jumps from romance to romance and I feel like she takes on the persona and interests of the man she is with at the moment.  I don't really know her interests or personality.  And Stephanie certainly gets enough airtime to explore more than sex with Alex. I know she was interacting with Kayla today, but a lot of the dialogue was "Alex asked", "Alex thinks..", "Alex is now free so I have to go" lol.  What do you think about anything, Stephanie?
    • May 2025:   New Pope, Leo XIV is chosen in Rome, while the Italian Open tennis tournament is happening in Rome. The headline is "Sinner meets the Pope"  or  "Pope meets Sinner". LOL, this is tennis player Jannik Sinner. He met with Pope Leo and gave him a tennis racket. Leo plays tennis himself and is a tennis fan. (He is also a Chicago Cubs baseball fan).    https://apnews.com/article/pope-leo-jannik-sinner-tennis-italian-open-9305b5f2957ac15c7a405f836371ec1e The top-ranked tennis player visited the new pope on Wednesday, gave him a tennis racket and offered to play, during an off day for Sinner at the Italian Open. Leo, the first American pope, is an avid tennis player and fan and had said earlier this week that he would be up for a charity match when it was suggested by a journalist. But at the time, Leo joked “we can’t invite Sinner,” an apparent reference to the English meaning of Sinner’s last name. By Wednesday, all seemed forgotten. “It’s an honor,” Sinner said in Italian as he and his parents arrived in a reception room of the Vatican’s auditorium. Holding one of his rackets and giving Leo another and a ball, the three-time Grand Slam champion suggested a quick volley. But the pope looked around at the antiques and said, “Better not.” Leo, a 69-year-old from Chicago, then appeared to joke about his white cassock and its appropriateness for Wimbledon, perhaps a reference to the All England Club’s all-white clothing rule.
