It seems that the reporter misquoted Matt in that interview a couple of weeks ago. He says there are no immediate plans to bring back the character to DAYS, although he is still technically on recurring status. Days is undergoing enough change and they need to get things in order before even thinking about bringing anyone back. They also need to use those they have first.
