WHY does this show insist on incinerating every relationship Jill has? I watched things fall to pieces with Sean, Larry and now Ji-Min. What gives? I hoped that at least there would be redemption after she blows up at him this week. What a waste. And when was the last time you saw an Asian man featured prominently on a soap? Dumb as hell.

In a way, I think we have Barbara Bloom, and her alleged insistence on bringing back Ted Shackelford, to thank for this. Can't put my finger on it, really, except, something about the timing of Ji Min's departure feels like a trade-off. I mean, why sacrifice a character who, as far as I could tell, seemed to be well-liked, if not popular, among fans (unless, Bloom agreed to losing another actor -- in this case, Eric Steinberg/Ji Min -- in exchange for Shackelford)?

Interesting...does that then set-up a romance between Jill and the Shackelford twin?

As I see it, one of two motives could be behind ES's firing:

1) Bringing TS back probably costs money. Therefore, another actor had to be "sacrificed" in order to make room for him in the budget. (And, since LML probably would rather crawl butt-naked over hot coals than let go of Adrienne Frantz (Amber), Daniel Goddard (Cane), or any of her "friends" (Tammy Lauren (Maggie), Chris Potter (Evan), nuColleen), ES was the next best thing.)

2) LML was/is highly pissed that Barbara Bloom stepped all over her (so-called) vision, so dumping Ji Min -- which, as far as I'm concerned, is coming entirely out of nowhere -- and kiboshing his romance with Jill is her way of getting even.

This is all conjecture on my part, but I wouldn't be surprised if BB is a fan of Ji Min, ES, or him and Jess Walton, but can't really do anything to stop this, b/c LML had to rewrite alot of the story to accommodate TS's return.

As for an actual Jeffrey/Jill romance, though, I wouldn't be shocked if LML and her team go this route. (It's entirely possible to think Bloom preferred JS w/ TS.) Something tells me, though, JS and Jeanne Cooper (Kay) will start to fade into the background as the fallout from Ji Min's departure rolls out. Remember how Cane's arrival, and the revelation that he was Jill's son (which I still don't buy, thank you very much) was supposed to restart the Jill/Kay feud (or so LML intimated in one interview)? Has anyone really SEEN that happen?

I bet this has something to do with the money that Amber, Kevin, and Daniel stole. Or the fact that JiMin is planning on exposing his and Jack's arrangement with Jabot.

But yeah, another fun murder mystery!! How fun!!

Hopefully its David...framing Jack and eventually getting caught red handed by Victor who will THEN proceed to rub it in Nikki's face.

I can see it all playing out in my head right now...

Amber will know something but will hide it. Eventually she'll be a suspect. But she'll turn the spotlight on Jack or someone else will.

Either way I just want Davide GONE.

On a totally random note is Phyllis REALLY going to jail? Is MS going on break for some unknown reason? I haven't read any spoilers regarding this and I desperately need to know if my girl is leaving.

Phick can't reunite soon enough for me!

Don't worry, MS isn't going anywhere. Phyllis may be headed to the slammer but that doesn't mean that MS is leaving.

Now that the setup has been done, I guess it does make sense for someone to make him disappear since he could do damage to several people, and seeing how it affects Jack as a crooked politician is good. But I don't think Ji-Min should die. Is this going to be the fate of all LML's recurring characters? Carmen, William, Plum, etc.
