Passions: The summer

Apparently July is the can't-miss month of the summer for Passions, as this is when several characters will return to the show, and long-held secrets will be revealed and stories resolved. August will be like a love letter to the fans, full of weddings, pregancies, a funeral, and classic Passions goodness, like old flashbacks and glimpses of the future. Passions' final week on the air in September will be unlike anything ever seen on daytime, and the series finale will have ALL soap fans talking for years to come! It won't matter if you don't even watch Passions...reverberations will be felt from Los Angeles to Oakdale!

I can't give any more hints than that. However, I have heard that Reilly has a nasty plan in store if Passions does get picked up somewhere else. ;)

Yeah seriously. RionPassions, you must be an insider. For a while, I really believed you were the man himself! Now, if Passions doesn't get picked up (IF), I'm worried the ending will disappoint us. What if there is no ending?

If Rion actually had any sort of insider scoop, he would've known better than to post that "Dawn of the Dead" spumor here. It didn't come true -- and we know this, because the scoop said that they were already taping the scenes. We haven't seen or heard anything since, proving that the rumor was false. If Rion were a real insider, he would've known it was false from the start... so that immediately debunks him as someone reliable.

What has he 'reported' here that has actually come true, aside from things that were already confirmed elsewhere first? From what I've seen, not a damn thing. So, why is it that people keep believing everything he posts as a scoop? He is not accurate. He is not an insider. He's just a big fan of the show, doing everything in his power to create buzz for his favorite soap -- even through false scoopage.

If everyone here started posting their own false scoopage, can you imagine what kind of track record SON would get? It would become the laughing stock of the soap board world. Unless Rion can prove himself to be reliable, his information needs to be listed specifically as 'rumors' or removed from the board entirely. Otherwise, I think I'll just start pretending that I have my own source and do the same thing with Days threads... see how long that lasts.

Kenny, it's nice that you set the record straight and everything, but did you really have to call us gullible? Speaking for myself, I don't follow Rion's posts 24/7 so I don't know about his credibility or lack of it. However, time to time I do check and some things are on the right track. Anyway, remember what happened with the [s.W.S.N.B.N.] incident? Remember how many people fell for her antics? I don't know. I know you meant well, but I'm a little taken back at your first statement. It would have been better to leave out the gullible statement. Your explanation is enough. No harm done though. =)

I agree with others, Kenny. I personally don't keep a pad and pen ready to track Rion's accuracies and inaccuracies. So perhaps my memory is biased since I like 'im. I remember "oh, yeah, that ONE time," and maybe it was really one-hundred times he was wrong. Or maybe it was just four. But unless anyone IS keeping score, I also don't think we should write him off. I still say he knows some stuff. And remember: [!@#$%^&*] knew stuff too but was deliberatly misleading. People with real power give a little -- and like JER -- dangle that carrot, give you a nip of it, put you through HELL waiting for the next nip. So even if he's wrong or even (God forbid) made something up, it doesn't prove he is a charlatan.

Well with or without Rion's rumors, I still say Passions has a shot at survival. Aside from the continuing promos and now sweepstakes and perfume partnerships, the show is still apparently sending actors out to meet with fans for autograph signing. Emily Harper (Fancy) is set to go to Canada to meet fans and sign autographs so I question why is there still this kind of activity going on for a cancelled show?
