AMC: Wednesday

I hope Always AMC doesn't mind I started the thread. I didn't see one for Wednesday.

Already, Tad is inufferable. As is Jamie. Why does Adam deserve to be institionalized?

LOL @ "secret service" Lily puting Kendall's calls on hold.

Thank you Kendall for reminding Josh that a world exists outside of Babe.

Erica has finally realized what a b*tch she has been to Jack.

These Jack/Erica scenes are so sad - and I love how they put in the flashbacks. Great touch - full of emotion. I'm sad for this couple and am rooting for them!

These Janet/Adam scenes are hilarious. I love these two together.

Janet to Adam: "Let me give you the 411 on the people here. There is Jimmy - he really likes puppets. But stay away from the guy who makes tiger sounds." *shudders as Amanda takes her away* :)

I love how Colby is fighting for her dad. Jamie needs to just STFU.

LOL at Kendall having to talk Lily into letting her speak to Zach. That was hilarious how Lily took "hold all my calls" serious and wouldn't even let Kendall talk to him.

I still can't get over how much Hannah looks like Di's older sister....

Jamie is a loser - I hate how tough he acts. He needs to STFU today. I think the writers know that Adam isn't the real villian, and that the fans are on Adam's side. (Or maybe I'm giving them too much credit) - but I think by them pairing up Janet and Adam - they have to know we'll love this duo and root for them. Plus, they'll definitely be getting back at the Carey women and the Martin boys....all in good time. We'll get our payback.

And I'm still laughing over that 'tiger' comment Janet made....haha.

I get a crazy vibe too.

She's flirting with him, smiling and acting all girlish.

Does Josh know any other word except "Babe"? I know toddlers who have a greater vocabulary.

Who is JR to pass judgment against Adam?! Please.

In the hands of a hack writer?

Looks like someone new has already taken over and if this is a sign of what's to come, I am THRILLED and I will take the bad until I get the good :P

Erica hasn't been the one who has wanted or rushed the divorce. Jack has and I think its because he thinks she wants Jeff

I HATE Barbara

I've just got to say that Erica looks GREAT today. I love that dress she has on...and they keep bringing more flashbacks. I love it. Uh oh - Jeff Martin just left the Chandler Mansion - he better not go to Erica's. I'll be pissed if he takes her away from Jack. They are obviously so close to calling off this divorce.

I can't believe JR just said "My father needs to learn that every action has a consequence." -- JR is such a hypocrite.

    • Absolutely. And I think Eden could play that in a reduced role, or until a recast comes round. I would easily give her a brainy comic love interest in the Spinelli vein regardless of who is playing Joss. I do think Eden works very hard, and can do certain things well. But I would at the least downshift her and then consider writing her out and bringing on someone else. She is not a lead.
    • I am a couple days behind, but is it just me or do some of the glimpses of Martin's nightmare look like a police traffic stop?
    • IIRC, there was fan outcry when viewers realized Donna was going to be killed, although someone more in the know might have a better idea. Donna was always more popular with viewers than she probably should have been, which I credit Stuart for. I do agree she would have been easier to write out than Felicia or Rachel.  Cass and Donna dated briefly during the Malone run (late 1997). http://www.anotherworldhomepage.com/cassd.html AW should have invested much more in Quinn than they did. All the pieces were in place for her to, at the very least, have a steady build in importance the way Jessica did on ATWT at that time. AW had moved away from usual patterns by bringing Henrietta and Quinn into the show to diversify the canvas. What always bothers me is the comment an AW person gave to SOD after fan complaints over Quinn's death - essentially, they did not know Quinn had any fans. Says it all.
    • I like that the Martin story hasn't been frequent.  The nightmares are airing only periodically.  Each time, we viewers see more of the accident or whatever happened.  I think we might (or at least I might) be annoyed if we saw the nightmares too often.  At this point, I've become more curious, and so, when it's finally revealed, I think the timing will be just right.
    • Total agreement.  But wasn't AW wonderful with all those servants?  Louise, Brooks, Rocky, Karl (never seen), Beatrice, Helga, Sven, Vivian, etc.  None of the post-Lemay servants ever seemed to resonate, nor did any of them last very long.  I do think BTG would benefit from casting at least one servant for Anita and Vernon.  And perhaps another for Nicole and Ted.  The show needs more have-nots for the different perspective.
    • Interesting, I didn't know the origins of their "friendship." Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against Linda Dano or Felicia, but maybe the show would have been better off if they killed off Felicia instead of Quinn and built around her. Correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't OLTL & ATWT pretty white at that time? Of all the stuff they threw at walls during that time to see what stuck, appealing to Black viewers seemed like a no-brainer. Especially since NBC had success at that time in Primetime with The Cosby Show & 227. Even in the mornings with Bryant Gumbel on Today. Of course, didn't have to be an either/or. I didn't mean to convey that Donna's isolation was the reason. Rachel, Felicia & Donna were all rich, 50ish brunettes whose characters started bleeding together by that point. Granted, mostly due to the bad writing of the writers she hired. Of the 3, getting rid of Donna would have been by far the easiest as VW had the most longevity/caused the biggest uproar; and Dano was the face of the show to the industry (and her favorite of the bunch). Thanks for the info of the alcoholism story. It was right before I started watching so I've only seen the clips of the intervention. Don't remember Cass & Donna at all. Was it last year of the show before he got with Lila? I was mostly checked out at that point.
