March 21, 200718 yr Member That is just your opinion and IMO you are WRONG. If you have ever watched a soap that was canceled you know how painful it can be. And unfortunately for DOOL the news broke while it was still in transition due to the new HW. I'm sure TPTB expected to lose some lifelong fans but the news that DOOL has no future with NBC has stopped a lot of people from either investing or reinvesting into the show. I know a lot of people that temporarily tuned into AMC and are now switching to Y&R. EVEN I thought about watching more Y&R so that I would have something to tune into if DOOL doesn't get a new home. IMO DOOL might not be at the top of its game but it certainly doesn't deserve the ratings it's been getting. Hopefully people will get past the sense of doom and start enjoying the show for as long as it lasts. First Days has not been Officially been cancelled.the problem with your thinking is this.If Days has no future especially on NBC why go and hire Hogan sheffer and make a big deal of it?People are not turning away because of this. They are tuning away because the big four is off and the storylines are bad.Belle and Shawn are island off away from family.Sami preggers by the evil E.J. ...Who is the father? And will sami and lucas get marry?Havent we been through this many times before?Days has storyline problems GALORE! My question to u is this.If Ken corday fixes the problems and the ratings go back up what would you say then?If days has no future and the ratings go UP you would be singing a different tune/The problem with days is a problem many soaps have:NO BALANCE.TOO many NEWBIES.....When you put your vets on backburner all at the same time a ratings free for all will HAPPEN! It always does!
