Something has changed, and I wonder if Dena is being allowed to write without interference from Frons, or if the consultants are simply doing A LOT of the work. I am so scared right now for Blair! I have no idea what Spencer is going to do to her, but my tummy is full of butterflies. The best part of the day for me were the scenes between Todd and Dorian. Robin Strasser and Trevor St. John played it low key, but they really made you feel the reluctant bond their characters were forming. Superb, understated work! I think NuMarty and John could be hot. I can only imagine what kind of a fire a true heavyweight like Susan Haskell might have lit under Michael Easton's butt, but Christine Chambers ain't half bad in my book. Natalie is quickly becoming more interesting to me for some reason, and I liked how she overheard them talking about her. The revelation to Michael from Rex was well-done, and both actors did a fine job. Tomorrow looks like it's going to be good as Marcie lays on the pressure. There is some huge fallout that can occur from this story, and I hope it packs the wallop that it could and should when all is said and done. Nice to see my Erika Slezak. So much I am interested in now: Blair and Todd, Spencer's machinations, Lindsay/Bo/Paige/Nora, Nash and Jessica, the fallout over baby Tommy, and lots more! Now if they turn Spencer into a story about McBoring, and Todd and Blair into a story about Evangeline and Jess and Nash into a story about Java, I will know that OLTL is no better. Hopefully I'll be getting me some Viki/Clint soon. I miss watching these two together. I am really enjoying Spencer, and his reign of terror. Can't wait to see what happens next. The Michael revelation of who Tommy's parents are was very well done and it left me wanting more. Felt bad for Natalie today. John is being a big you know what. The episode threads don't get many posts, but a longer weekly thread could inspire more people to post about the show. Anyway... I'm loving it! I can't believe how much I'm loving the show right now and apparently Dena Higley is still there? WTF?! nuMarty makes Charity Rahmer look like Meryl Streep, but she can't stop my love. I'm even enjoying John's brooding ass for some sick reason. The scenes with Dorian and Blair were great and how odd was it to see her supporting Todd? I like that they are finally moving forward with this relationship. And with all the Cassie mentions I have to hope she is returning. Especially with Kelly and Kevin away, we need another strong Cramer woman. I don't like the way the write Michael and Marcie, which is very similar to black characters on soaps. Both have very safe "go to guy" jobs and are written as the generic, good couple. If Jen were still around I highly doubt she'd be doing anything like Marcie. I want my firecracker back! I want to see Marcie mixing it up with people and I want her youth and sex appeal back. Just because Brier is pleasantly plump doesn't mean you have to age her up with Viki and Dorian. Rant aside, I loved the Tommy reveal scenes with Rex and Michael! Could this be a sign Higley is gone because she said they'd be holding onto this secret for a LONG time. I was so shocked to see Rex actually admitting it based on what Higley had said. I'm glad things are picking up with Spencer and I cannot wait for the day he is off our screens! I don't know what Scotty, Jess, and others will think, but I would like the idea of a weekly discussion thread for OLTL. Anything to encourage less clutter on here. Last spring, OLTL was one of the most talked about shows on here, but a lot of the commentors disappeared over the summer, and there's basically six of us who watch and comment now (but we are a really cool group of six!), so a weekly thread makes sense. I actually am dying to know how they will act around each other now that she revealed to him that she has feelings for him. It was very nice to see Viki back again, her words of wisdom to both Todd and Nat the brat were very good. I was actually thinking the other day it would make things easier. I loved the Rex/Michael stuff. Michael's world is falling apart again thanks to Spencer. It was so creepy when Marty was in Spencer's hospital bed and he could have grabbed her and killed her anytime he wanted to. Meanwhile the dead lawyer was right under his bed. Poor Blair. Members Scotty Posted January 25, 2007 Members Share Posted January 25, 2007 I liked today's show. I thought the Rex/Michael stuff was very well done. Those Marty/Spencer scenes were creppy. I kept excepting him to jump up and grab her by the hair again. Spencer has really snapped now, and I love how the show ended with Spencer going into Blair's hospital room and closing the curtain. I enjoyed the Todd/Viki and Todd/Dorian scenes and liked how Dorian told Blair that she should be with Todd, and Viki telling Todd not to give up on Blair. The John/Natalie stuff was ok....I laughed when Viki told Natalie that she wasn't his mother. Glad someone told her that! I loved the John/Natalie arguement...they both just need to grow up. And poor Mark...did you see the way Spencer just snapped his neck like a twig? That was cool in a way. Oveall, a really good show. I can't wait to see the fallout from Spencer's upcoming demise.
