Board Trouble

I'm not sure why it is happening by I have not been able to post at all since the board returned. I'm also having trouble staying logged in- I sign in and it says I'm signed in but when the page refreshes, it still shows me as a guest. Every feature I try & use I get an error message implying that I am a guest or do not have authorization to post. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

I also then saw Errol's post about AOL- which was the browser I was using. I opened Mozilla & entered the boards through there, but that still didn't work. Now, I have downloaded Firefox 2.0 and am logged in through that. Fingers crossed this works!

Okay, it worked. But honestly, at this point, I'm so frustrated that I'm signing off for a while. It took me forever to finally be able to get this to work! I hope you get the AOL situation fixed soon- I really don't like having to open Firefox to post on SON. Not to mention this is like the 2nd or 3rd time this year I've had to download a new browser just to access SON. What's up with that?

I'm sure there are members who have popped in and out today and left frustrated & angry- without being able to post or communicate that they were having these problems. It took me an hour to even find the post about AOL, since it's not the newest topic in Announcements. I just hope all of these technical issues smooth out soon, because I fear we'll be losing members if it doesn't.

Juniorz, I am using Opera and having great luck with it. I had a few problems with Mozilla, and IE is too slow. So using Opera and all features except the blogs are working. But Errol is working on that.

It's just annoying is all Steve. This isn't the first time I or others I'm sure have had to download new software solely for the purpose of accessing SON.

I know what you mean. When the boards were down once before they wouldn't work with IE. That is when I first went to Firefox. Then I started having trouble with it, so went to Opera.

Yeah I am having the same problems. It took me forever last night to realize what I needed to do to post. Hopefully, the problem will be rectified soon for this issue and the blog issue. It is annoying and a major inconvenience but I am sure the staff knows that and is working hard to rectify it.

I understand the problems you are having juniorz. The problem with AOL isn't a SON only problem, as it is a problem with Invision itself. They are currently working on correcting the issue with the AOL browsers. Hopefully it will be resolved soon.

Thanks for the update Ryan! :) It is/was just a frustrating experience is all- and I'm sure Kenny, Steve, Phoenix and I are not the only ones who have had to deal with it. I actually pray it's not all of invision- I post on a couple other invision boards now & then and I'd hate to have to open Firefox for those also- since I probably would not post, as I don't visit as frequently as SON. It just worries me that we'll lose members that post infrequently- I'd hate to see that happen.
