I believe that you and a number of the younger generation mistook what was actually taking place as a budding romance. What was actually taking place was Sami being used to fast track a new character into the mainstream of Salem. She was joyous and youthful and giddy even about him, but that was bait to see that this is an especially hot young man. All of this was to put EJ in a star position asap. I was frankly shocked to see him coming on to her in a more personal way after everyone already knew (at least lead to believe) he was a horrid person really so my skin actually crawled. Thankfully, Sami is one girl who is careful with her intimate affections. No, there never was any room for a romance for EJ and Sami. In actuality, a sophisticated, well-educated man would not be seriously interested in Sami either. Kate, on the other hand is glamorous, beautiful, worldly and very sophisticated.

I don't know. Sami is a schemer, EJ is a schemer. I DO agree with some of the EJami fans who believed that EJami was a budding romance. After all the fans complaining how Lucas and Austin wanted Sami to be 'perfect' when she could NEVER be that way? And here comes EJ, this man who tells her straight up, 'You don't deserve to be second best,' 'You don't have to change?' Um, yeah. EJate will be '[!@#$%^&*]' (thanks again, Hogie) HOT, but EJami are kindred spirits.

The difference is that my perception was based on factual evidence presented on-screen

*The FACT that a wealthy racecar driver just happened to move into the same dingy apartment block as Austin, Carrie, Sami & Lucas

*The FACT that Sami always received letters from the gloved hand shortly after talking with EJ

*The FACT that EJ's fingerprints were on the letter from the gloved hand

*The FACT that EJ deliberately obstructed Sami & Lucas from finding Austin/Carrie having sex on the roof

Your perception- that the EJ/Sami story was a love story in the making- was based on nothing other than wishful thinking.

Personally, I won't look. I'm not into porn and hate what has been on my TV screen, but I chose not to for my own personal reasons, because outside of the clinches, I love the longing looks and all the expressions illustrating a brain operating leading to the act which makes it then turn animal. EJ is the one who has kidnapped her son (or led her to believe he's been kidnapped). This is the same person who's been sending her threatening letters threatening to reveal the "evil" and "sick" crime she committed against Carrie. Most of the evidence suggests that EJ's spin about accepting Sami the way she is just that....SPIN!

Well, Ponz, personally, I don't believe the spoilers. I don't believe EJ would maliciously hurt Sami. Couldn't he just shoot her in the head if he had a really evil agenda?
