  1. I know Shari was definetly onscreen in 1995. She was part of the 25th Anniversary celebration (Aka the Martin Family Housewarming). She was no longer on contravt by 1994 as seen by her abesence from the opening credits. That is the first time I heard about Whitfield. He was a rising star, and did pretty well in the Primetime space post AMC. If my memory serves me right, Mimi and Derek got married at the Loft Apartment (the one time home of Tad and Dixie).
  2. I remember her recurring I think into 1996. Then she had an offscreen divorce from Derek after he admitted to an affair with Taylor. He even went so far as to claim that the supposed child she was pregnant with with Noah, was his. They lost so many of their awesome African Americans around the same 94/95 period. Dondre Whitfield, Tonya Pinkins, Ingrid Rodgers, and Shari all either left or went on recurring.
  3. and if we are all sharing favourite photos, here is one that I have that I do not think gets much play: The Women of Kane, such a wonderful time on the show. Who knew things were going to go so sour so quickly.
  4. I have a photo from what I think is the same editorial: I loved Shari when she had her slicked back, versus the longer version she wore in her later years. The woman is blessed with a beautiful bone structure. I always have to wonder how William Christian lasted so long as part of the shows cast. I never found him particularly captivating, yet he and Derek stuck around for more than a decade. I wish that Shari actually stuck around on recurring, rather than being phased out in 1996. My dream job is to one day manage the video the archives of AMC, similar to what Roger Newcomb does for the PGP Soaps. I would love to handle the packaging of streaming episodes and DVDs.
  5. I just found 2 awesome cast photos. One from 1998 in Ben Evan's beach home. By the looks of it, Eddie Cibrian (ex-Cole) was photoshopped in post photo: ...and another from one of the last days of filming, namely Meg's fantasy about being back in Kansas. Note, the only contract cast member missing appears to be Kathleen Noone (ex-Bette):
  6. I love/loved Peter White. He brought so much to a role that was considered so long forgettable. It was such a treat when he and Francesca James would make their Christmas time cameos in the 80's. There were actually 3 Lincs before Peter White, including the actor who played Victor Collins on Port Charles.
  7. The person with Amy is actually her husband, Lincoln Tyler then played by Paul Dumont. Ted was a more overweight, scruffy guy. I bet they took stylish photos of all the original cast members for the press, we have just not been so lucky as to see very many of them.
  8. That is such a nice offer! i wish I had a way to repay you for your genorsity. I'll take a look. I have to admit, I hord the photos in the off chance that one day I relaunch my AMC History site.
  9. Did you mean this weeding photo? This is Tad and Hillary's wedding. The little boy is Michael Scalera as Joey (AKA Jake) Martin. From L to R: Female Minister, Jack Armstrong as Greg Nelson, Ray MacDonnell as Dr. Joe Martin, Michael Scalera as Joey Martin, Michael E. Knight as Tad, Carmen Thomas-Paris as Hillary Miller, Stephanie Winter as Julie Rand Chandler, Fra Heflin as Mona Tyler, Louis Edmonds as Langley Wallingford (with a funny toupee), and Ruth Warrick as Phoebe Wallingford. I am still blown away by these awesome photos! Thank you again for sharing.
  10. OMG! These are so awesome. can you still pull photos? There are awesome ones of Estelle/Benny/Donna, and a Devon/Lynn from the controversial Lesbian storyline. This is such a sweet share!
  11. It's too bad that Kin Shriner never found a haircut to suit him.
  12. Denise Alexander is on Pretty the web series. The first two seasons were hilarious. The current season started out funny, but got pretty drawn out at the end. Though, the production values were fabulous.
  13. That is Josh Hamilton as Charlie in his short stint as Charlie, reprising the role of the Martin/Tyler heir apparent for Kate's untimely funeral (due to Kay Campbell's death from complications in a tragic car accident). William Mooney reprised as Paul Martin, and Nancy Frangione reprised as Tara Martin Jefferson. Josh had two AMC connections. Josh's mother is Stephanie Braxton, the popular second actress to play Tara Martin in the 70's. His father, Dan Hamilton, portrayed Hal Shea, the first husband of Francesca Jame's Kitty Shea Tyler.
  14. Oh, I do not remember this. I would love to hear the story!
  15. I love this picture! I believe it was from 2004 for James Mitchel's 25th Anniversary Dinner Party in NYC. Candice made out like a bandit marriage wise. She married a very wealthy man from Arkansas. I want to say that they met on an airplane because of his niece, and dated long distance for a while. I wish Donna could have come back more than she did to play a supporting role. Natalie's death and the dwindling Tyler family presence really minimized her connections after 1993. Candice was notorious for dating, getting engaged, breaking-up, in her 20+ run at ABC. She even dated and lived with Clint Richie (ex-Clint) for a spell!
  16. That is so sad to see. I know that Brian Presley comes from a very affluent upbringing. Pool Allison probably thought that she was set for life, and it all began to unwind. He must have lost a lot financially to cause him to spiral into depression. I am so happy to see them stronger and having got past through those hard times. You can tell Allison is a lot harder now, and that she has survived a lot. I am really am inspired by their story, and the frankness of their conversation. All things happen for a reason. Can you imagine if Allison was cast on the view and her husband sunk into this depression and alcoholism? All the bad times would have been heired for the world to see and she would have the pressures from her network, and the media to get the situation under control that really no one could control. I hope tha tthere is a road of hapiness ahead for them both.
  17. Here is the actual clip she as taping: <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/gxCTjLDHIpk" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> I think she was a pretty accurate portrayal that is the trainwrek Alexis Bellino, Features Reporter.
  18. OMG, thanks Carl for posting that awesome article! The pictures of Billy Clyde and Estelle are a true find. I wish someone somewhere could track down Kate Dezina. She was part of a golden era in AMC. She has not had many acting roles since, and her co-stars seem to have lost track of her. Source: http://www.soapopera...li-bogazianos-0
  19. 20. That's too bad. I do not remember who sang the song. Was it the Bette Midler version? I know a lot of her memorable public appearences have been censored on Youtube.
  21. I was thinking about this the other day. I remember how happy I was with the surprise that Ruth Warrick was at the 2004 Daytime Emmy's to receive her Lifetime Achievement Emmy because the Emmy's had released a statement saying she was not coming. When we saw her at the end of the long line of winners, I was so excited but then immediatley saddened by the reality of how frail she had become: The press and the tptb at AMC had been saying how she was not up for taping. But, in her last scene in 2003, she did still have that bite that made her Phoebe inspite of the wheelchair (which started as a story point and not a necessity). As happy as I was to see her triumphant that evening, I also knew it was probably going to be one of the last times she was going to grace our screen. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/UFGFBzRLw_I" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
  22. I had a desire to watch the final scene to the song "In this life," but I cannot find it on youtube anymore.
  23. I agree about her not belonging on the OC, at least not with the current crop of women. She also does not play with any of them really; she is off in her own world living in a town far from the gates of Coto. Why can't the show go back and focus on the Coto lifestyle. It was so much mor interesting to see the women to each other's home and drop by unexpectadly. Now these women do not hang out unless ther is an "Event."
  24. I would never discount the worth of a stabilizing famil. It is one of those yin and yang things for me; in order for me to feel like someone's life is truly chaotic, I want to see something that is not. It goes to the idea that their is a balance in the world. The best part of coars is when a stable family is then thrown into chaos. Think about Bert Bauer learning her husband at cheated on her. The moment Ruth Martin ran away with David Thornton and almost consumated their affair. Or the bes example of all, Ed Bauer cheating on Maureen with a woman who purported to be her friend. The high drama, the heart aching emotions all came out of the disruption of balance. Had that balance not existed, neither would those feelings that keep people tuned in everyday. Did AW ever find their next "Mary Martin." The true to fact "coffee pourer," who was always there? Never to judge or be judged? Whose kindness knew no bounds? Who society diefied and longed to be or wished in envy to one day equal?
  25. I agree. Frankly, Skye was not exactly a "front burner" character in either Robin's first AMC run or Carrie's AMC run. I would be shocked that they would think Robin to be so recognizeable. I had not made the connection that she was/is a "friend of Jill's." Especially, since her treatment at the end of her intial GH run did not scream preferential treatment. Though, perhaps that is why she has been invited back for so many short-summer runs. Summe runs that I hope are not forgotten about by this new regime. She is the closest thing we have to a living Quartermaine, and Port Charles needs as many of them as they can find.
