Toups...bodysuit my ass, she was wearing hotpants.... HOTPANTS! That's one article of clothing I never thought would make a comeback, but by God, I'm seeing it with alarming regularity, usuaally worn by women too skinny to pull them off.

He's an absolute imbecile if he thinks he has a prayer of winning the white house. There aren't enough rednecks anymore to make him win an election.

My right wing niece thinks Rick Perry hung the moon, so I'm thrilled at this turn of events. I hopes he burns, so her little bubble can burst.

Kansas City lost out o.n the convention because they didn't have enough "Infrastructure". Really? We had enough infrastructure for the 1976 convention. And now there's the huge Sprint center for large events. Oh well... Cleveland it is! I wasn't looking forward to the traffic issues it would cause anyway.

I think college is highly overrated. Either you got it or you don't. Going to college does not equal an intelligent, successful career, if your'e a bit dim to start with, all it turns out is educated idiots. My particular career is not one that requires a degree, although you "could" have one and maybe be a bit more successful. But I went to my school of choice, and talked to the horticulture professor, and once I determined I knew more than HE DID.. I thought "Why?" Why pay tens of thousands of dollars to be taught something by a person who knows LESS than you. What's the point. Save your money, go to the library and teach yourself. That's what I did. You only have to go to college if your'e a doctor or other profession that absolutely requires a degree of some kind.

Woohoo!!! Look what I just dug up! Too bad soaps don't get prime time promos TODAY!! At 25:24 The date of this broadcast was September 16, 1973. The station identification and opening of Hawaii 5-0 is neat to see, too. A real time glimpse of what 70's TV actually was like, commercials, stations ID, and all.- Y&R: Old Articles

At times it was right smack in Dark Shadows territory. I remember so well the next day after this one, when Katherine went to the cemetary to reveal herself to Brock, standing on a hill behind him, with her white chiffon blowing in the wind.. Julianna can tell a creepy story like no other, though. It just makes your skin crawl, and just on the audio!- Mariah Carey Thread
I don't think Mariah and her 220 million records under her belt are in any way threatened by a low-class minstrel who has only sold 5 million records and can't even sing. Once her flavor of the month has worn off the tongue, she'll die of a drug overdose or be living in section 8. Mariah will still be filthy rich. I totally agree with Wendy, Mariah and Queen Latifah would have been much better together on the panel.- Mariah Carey Thread

I just think he should have been committed to a mental hospital when all that went down. Then again, playing devil's advocate, if what he did had happened in 1877 and not 1977, his actions would have been completely legal. He's also European, and they have completely different sexual mores than the United States does. Eric Braeden has spoken about this in more than one interview. Consider that 14 countries in Europe set legal age for sex at 14, Spain has it at 13. And most of the rest set it at 15. The United States is very puritanical in the eyes of many in the rest of the world because of this.- The View
I may be wrong here, or haven't seen it... but did Whoopi say they should drop the Roman Polanski thing because it's what the Victim now wants? I could understand her supporting the victim's wishes. I think people have compassion for Roman Polanski when they wouldn't normally because of what happened to him. I seriously think he needed major mental evaluation and deep therapy, when your pregnant wife is murdered just a week before your baby is due in such a brutal way... It wouldn't surprise me if someone in that situation would mentally just go off the cliff. Considering everything he's went through in his life, watching his father being taken to a concentration camp, watching a woman murdered in cold blood right in front of him as a child, German soldiers playing games and using him for target practice... I would truly be surprised if he WASN'T bonkers. Woody Allen has NONE of that serious mental baggage, so his parents didn't get along and he was picked on at summer camp. Big effin deal. Woody is just an outright sociopath, while many people see Roman as a seriously mentally and emotionally traumatized individual. So allowances are made in his case.- The View
I agree on all point, however for me, I have no dissolution where Whoopi is concerned. She comes off as the most fair minded, intelligent woman of the whole bunch. I now look at Barbara as an elitist waspy cow that sticks up for her showbiz acquaintances no matter what they do. The only time Whoopi dissapointed me was with the whole Mel Gibson thing.
