I thought this was an excellent week at GH. I even did more edits than usual. I loved Liz & Lucky, both that he stayed over & that they talked & declared their mutual feelings, finally. No idea why Ava is just going from person to person, which is including so many strange visitations. No idea why Lucky got stuck counseling Kristina unless it's just because she has no friends & he works for her at Charlie's or alternately they want to give JJ more to do. I loved Anna arresting Valentin. What I wonder is what he's going to be charged with & stand trial for. Liked Carly being poisoned & visited by Lucas, Felicia, Jack & Jason. Very much liked Felicia bringing Bobbie into it. I believe there was sufficient time in between last Reckell & first RKK. It was 2 months. They did the makeover as I mentioned & then the recast reveal was at a fancy dress masked ball that Vivian Allamain threw & then RKK was considered one of the most successful recasts. The problem with NO TIME in between is obvious because it's jarring.

You have a gift for this. He would be a great choice. I am not good at spec casting/recasting. Or in Yodaspeak: No gift, have.

And they had thankless jobs to try to do because of all of the purists who say Only one Kelly - Robin Wright and Only one Mason - Lane Davies. If you look at RKK as Sam Fowler on AW & then at the entire rest of his life, you may think, Huh? What happened? And, DAYS was so concerned about a recast Bo that they had a makeover done on RKK to make him look as much like Peter Reckell did at that moment, as possible. Then, that turned into the look RKK has worn for the whole rest of his life.

One of the "Stunt: Recast Reveal" video clips that I have is the Russian version of going from Terry Lester to Gordon Thompson. Dash punches Mason & he goes down. When he comes up it's Gordon instead of Terry. (Who was the one who went down) I enjoy all of these fun clips but one of my favorite things about this one is Julia being dubbed in Russian.

Well, she's a very giving actress & she comes from a tradition where the majority of players were that, giving, so naturally it is her first thought or intention to be complementary to her scene partner & since y'all have a preference for more natural acting over stylized, or even mannered acting, then, of course, you see her as "better" when she's toning it down with people who are more or less letting it all hang, natural style or playing realism. It's not per se better but it is a different rung on the acting ladder. I like her no matter which or what but my personal preference is different. It's fireworks & "swinging for the fences" to use Drake's & Brandi Carlyle's phrase.

The soap actor/SciFi actor overlap is literally immense! And, I'm adding Babylon 5 & Rebooted Battlestar Galactica in with the entire Star Trek franchise. B5 had Zimmer, NLG & Lane Davies.
