So, was I alone yesterday in discovering Victor's control over Charlotte & her boarding school?! I had no clue. Do we figure that Victor just finagled to get to Charlotte while Valentin was sick, out of commission, etc.? Again today I found myself myself being happy with my soaps! I have to pinch myself to be sure I'm not dreaming & my first thought is not to post 🤪happy but to say something goofy. Back to the upheaval because of personnel changes. Between late 1996 & early 1998 all 3 NY soaps replaced EPs & HWs at least once. In 2001, ABC shuffled 3 HWs between & among their 3 primary soaps. Between 2000 and 2003 all 3 networks changed their heads of daytime. The biggest factor in all of this is INSTABILITY. There were 2 soaps at the time that experienced STABILITY & they were the Bell family soaps - Y&R and B&B. Bell Sr. conveyed a sort of immunity to network meddling. When he died in 2005, those two shows lost that immunity & were subject to network meddling just like the other soaps. I just went to Bing Images just to look at pictures of him. So many great pictures! And, there's one of him with his son & you can tell how proud he is. Very hard to believe he was 82. Made me sad but made me feel good, too. I was a fan of that Vanessa Marcil show, LAS VEGAS & he was great in it.

The day he was folding & re-folding it was only his first time back in their bedroom since the Police cleared it as a crime scene. Now he's gone back in there for a second time. And, while he was in there he had a whole stack of her dresses out. No idea why. I loved his confrontation with Leo when he went on his run. I loved Will's confrontation with Leo, too. Maybe I just like people getting in Leo's face! I suspect that Chad has been tuned out & is about to get tuned back in.

That would be a whole new low. It's enough that they had to cut their budget in half some years back. I'm sure GL was operating at some extreme budget cut. We could actually have a headline, "4th remaining soap canceled by a 75% budget cut." It was a scarf of Abigail's but he used it as a pocket square for the black suit he wore to the funeral. Remember the scene where he took such care folding it & re-folding it as a pocket square? I loved the acting & directing. Speaking of which Scott McKinsey directed that day.

Thnx for even more info. I personally enjoy reading about show bibles that didn't get made. I came across a note just the other night about Stephen J. Cannell dying which referred to the show bible he nominated the year that NBC affiliates chose Aaron Spelling's SUNSET BEACH. Apparently the Cannell show was to be a lawyer office soap.
