Our cast of characters: This is the bedside manner grouping: Roman, Kate, Rex, Sarah, John, Marlena, Belle, Eric, Kristen, Rolf, some police offstage only, … did we see Kayla & Steve? Or were they just mentioned? Roman's talking quietly on the phone to someone about Kate still being asleep but still running that fever. John, Belle & Eric are in Marlena's room where she also is sleeping. John looks like he's crying a lot of the time. Rolf says he does not have the orchid. (And we know that he does not. But, he could go on one more sentence, because he knows who does have it. ) Rolf, I'm glad you are calm about the police raid that's going down at your place. He had moved everything that is sensitive to another place. He had given the orchid to Kristen to keep at her place. (even though the garage seems highly inappropriate for a place to keep a one-of-a-kind hot house plant.) Kate wakes up & has a sip of water. Have they found the orchid? I am so tired of feeling this way. Suddenly Roman pops the questions, that age-old question, and Kate says that yes she will marry him. He puts an engagement ring on her finger. We move to Marlena's room where she looks like death warmed over. She asks about Kayla & Kate? Then she thinks to ask about Roman. She tells Eric she wants him to go see how they are & bring back word. He can hardly refuse. Marlena is about two switches off of Full Blown Martyr, Back in Kate's room, Roman accepts a collect call from the prison. Yes, Lucas wants to talk to Kate. They talk about missing each other & loving each other & Lucas hears his mother praise him for owning up to things & being brave. He insists that they will see each other again. She's not so sure but she doesn't ell him that! In Marlena's room, it's Sami on the phone with news about Sydney. I hope she thought to ask how Marlena was feeling. Rolf is in his own way trying to convince Kristen to save Kayla & Kate & Marlena's life. He reminds Kristen that Marlena is Rachel's grandmother! He also told her that Marlena was her only real competition for John's son, Brady. Brady says that Rachel will be fine. He'll talk to her, a lot more than he has. (to be cont'd.) Peacock DOOL Thursday, Oct. 13, 2022 Brady tells Chloe that he doesn’t know how it will all work out but he's convinced that he can make his little girl happy & make his big girl happy, too. Sacrificing his own happiness IS NOT THE WAY. Rolf: Stefano would not approve of endangering Marlena's life. Kristen doesn't like him to talk this way. Rolf asks her if Kayla & Kate are just collateral damage? Roman wants to get married right this very minute. There's a knock at her room door & it opens a crack & Eric & Rex peer in to see if it's okay to come in. Sooo, Eric officiates & Rex stands as witness & Kate & Roman get married. Sarah sees Rex out in the hall & volunteers to help in any way, in the lab or anything. He tells her, rather forlorn, that without that one orchid there is nothing for anyone to do. Rolf winds up & pitches one more time by telling Kristen that if they die it won't be on his head, no, it will be on Orpheus's head and more than that, it would be on Kristen's head. Belle & Sami actually have a full conversation for the first time in a long time. John said that apparently there are more lemons in God's miracles. (That went right by me.) Orpheus sent flowers to Marlena. Roman picked wildflowers for Kate.

Now, that would have done it. I would have had to start watching Y&R.

He's barking up the wrong tree then. His good enough is not good enough. He's not always gonna have someone in a position of power who has some demented crush on him. I recommend some serious career counseling. Do we have any serious career counselors to offer up?

Okay. I can see that. So, lessee, somewhere I mused that this is Allie's first adult mistake. Good god, it may be Chanel's first adult mistake, too! I just want them to play this out in real time, dramatic beat for dramatic beat. I'm afraid of being cheated out of any pay-off. And, of course, Chanel has a crisis of some proportion to take up all the oxygen in the room. Now that is terrifying. There are real people having to play scenes with this guy!

It's on Facebook. That is what it calls itself. Been around a long time. Humongous amount of traffic. Has a huge NBC logo & an NBC peacock, also huge. I've never liked it because it is so big. There's just too many people. But I've posted there some & that always leads me back when someone replies. Right now they're in a terrible state. They have happy DOOL fans acclimated already to Peacock. They have backlash fans who cannot or will not go to Peacock. They have people complaining & wanting to go back to NBC. They have people getting impatient with the old backlash rhetoric. They have people who just want to talk about the show. And now they have people too religious to cope with the threesome. The only downside is that she has ruined me for DOOL using Stacy. I tried to like her Kristen & it just was not meant to be. Every time someone says "revisit" something from DOOL's past I squeak out "Kristen & her 5 siblings unless one is going to stay dead." (Penelope's dead, I think.) And, Thomas was a whole new man on Beyond Salem 2!

RCulliton did write it but they had a woman direct it! Her name is Angela Tessinari. I was SO tickled when I found out that they had a woman direct it! That is one of the things they did right. Angela Tessinari. I spelled it wrong at first.

I want to say that this was all delightful to read, re-live, or imagine. Especially Vanessa Marcil and especially Eileen Davidson, who I consider to be a goddess.

And, that's a really well put description of what happens when they say that such and such an actor has been phoning it in for years! MB has set pieces that he pulls out & uses. Nailed him!

I have pondered this some. The only reason I can think of, why Dante would go out of his way to have these talks is because I think he "gets" that he can do it & no one else can. That's a good summation of the different Sonnys & it is itself an excellent example of when some show is taking their lead TOO MUCH from the star! Here. See. This is why NOT TO!

Well, it came from Allie & it seemed to me to be nothing but insecurity & to come out of her head. Talking to herself she seemed to be getting preoccupied with the idea that Chanel was not satisfied & that she wasn't because she wasn't getting something that she was used to having. When she brought it up to Chanel she said, that no, she was quite happy, fulfilled, liking it being the two of them, enjoying being a couple & all that that meant. That's why I say this came out of the top of Allie's head! We've been told before that Allie is the one who is going to be insecure. But, Allie's also persistent & impulsive. After living with this idea for a [gasp] DAY, she broached the subject to Chanel as something she wanted them to do. If you ask me, Allie made her first adult mistake, but, maybe they will work it out & learn from it. Because Chanel was insisting, still that she wasn't lacking for anything. No other case for the "project" was floated.

They did 1 hour standalone special episodes for all three. And, Dante is the only one who can really talk to Sonny! He always finds space where they're alone. Slows down his pace from his usual peppy. And, very seriously listens & talks. Its admirable. Sonny even seems to hear sometimes.

I just could not believe he started off all like, say he's been hit with this epiphany that something might happen & he & Michael would be unreconciled (Is that the word I mean?) and he says, basically that he wants to do whatever it will take to get okay with him, and he brings up Morgan, and you're getting how important this suddenly is to him, right? Brando has died. The Hook is still out there. And, finally, at last, it is Michael's turn to speak & he says that not only was he not true to his own family but he was not true to his own code. And Michael walks away. And, Sonny screeches at him, "Don't you turn your back on me!" WTF?!! Who in the heck is that? Some patriarchal disciplinarian who is going to demand respect?! I think someone needs to introduce Sonny #1 to Sonny #2. They should meet, have a talk, get to know any other Sonnys hanging around, too.

Makes no sense & I do not think anyone made a case for it being what was going on. Nothing Allie said, nothing Chanel said, etc. smacked of that at all. I think that is strictly audience reading something in that's not there. And I said I wouldn't split hairs but isn't it 2 months? July 29th, at any rate.
