Mother's shows in the 60s when I became interested were ATWT, AW & DAYS. Since they were half hour that worked. When they went to an hour, we gave up CBS/ATWT & she was an NBC fan ever after that, the whole lineup. I branched out & fell in love with GL & PC & THE CITY & then GH, on my own, later.

From before: Fabulous!!! I've never even heard of the RH one. Of course since AW is my forever favorite I think the Red Swan is worst! AMC fans disagree. More McGuffin-like soapy goodness.

He said that they thought he had Parkinsons but then found out he did not. We know from that, that he has probably been evaluated by a neurologist. There's a whole array of neurological disorders that share some symptoms with PD. If he had a firm diagnosis I suspect he would say. Just don't know but I don't think it's apathy. I wanted to post that this past week I didn't think he was as bad in his scene with Gio. (But, I am not saying he was good.) The other thing I want to post is that I think Little Sonny will be getting the new ambitious ADA, Justine, another brunette who is actually a nobody wanting to be a somebody. I still cannot figure out why he didn't get Natalia. She was certainly brunette enough & beautiful enough, too. Edit to add: cite, had to look it up It is in one of his special Lives, that are just him on You Tube. I am searching for it. So far I have not found it. I will keep on looking. I know it was relatively recent, still looking. Found it. I was looking in the wrong place. Now, this is new. AW fans have the Red Swan. AMC fans have Libidizone. Y&R fans have the reliquary. DAYS fans have the prisms. And, now, GL fans have the deed & the engagement ring. Anyone know any others?

Part of my opinion comes from "the way things used to be" and that was when the writer/creator had more agency & power. Back then, the writer/s of a soap were as close to being auteurs as soaps ever got in that direction. And, it's not a coincidence that back then our shows were more traditional & more character-driven. For every degree of change toward the execs having more power the further away we have gotten from what I consider to be something of an ideal. Despite what she has said about that role & how strongly we know he felt about it, you are correct when you say we will never know. That not knowing is inevitable.

On this one I have to agree with Marland. There is something to be said for letting the writer & the actor involved at least finish the story. Personally, I think writers should have more say about content.

This is quite enlightening to me because I'm so accustomed to thinking that all of this exec turnover & the massive problems it caused for the 3 P&G/NY soaps began in 1995. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say it is shocking to me that it possibly had started 4-5 years earlier!

I can only speak for myself but whether she watches the show or not is, to me, irrelevant. Frankly, I was somewhat shocked it made it into a script because of NLG not Haley.

This makes no sense at all. Maxie is going to be on less for a while, not more.

I guess it's a minority position, which is fine. Not because I hate Natalia, even though I do. But I found it hilarious! At the same time I recently read the latest on Pullos & she is one very lucky girl. She totally dodged a bullet, got off easy IOW.

What an interesting idea. I must admit that Kimmer has me snowed as to her & the Zimmer of it all. I stretched my brain when I learned that Pam Long's first, really only, choice for Reva was that actress from TEXAS, Carla Borelli. I cannot see Susan Pratt as Reva. I like Pratt although I agree she is better on AMC. Yeah, of course it would come up!!! Right? He did. I think 5.

And, Vicky W didn't want them & she got a whole big amount of criticism over it.
