  1. Nothing about this world makes sense anymore.
  2. I give him massive props for timing.
  3. Here's my position on Comey, yes, I hold him responsible for where we are but there are people far higher on my s!ht list. Namely Bernie Sanders and the rest of the TYT/Chapo/dirtbag left who have spent all their time out here attacking Democrats and giving Trump cover. Comey at least understands that Trump is the enemy and like it or not Comey has knowledge and connections that are valuable in the fight. Also, he seems to be trying to make amends. He became a guest lecturer at Howard University and donated his entire $100,000 salary to a scholarship fund for kids raised in foster care. Also - and I confess this is just my final crumb of faith in humanity asserting itself - Obama chose this guy for a reason and that still means something to me. But no, I wouldn't read Comey's book if you paid me.
  4. Tika Sumpter discusses what it's like to be a black woman in Hollywood.
  5. According to the AV club review last night's episode was actually the second ep taped and the second one shown premier week was the third so apparently they are showing the eps out of order.
  6. I'm in Ohio. Kasich would do a lot of what Trump has done. He'd have just been quieter about it. Kasich's specialty is hiding his dirt. He especially enjoys signing bills that sound economic but have culture war issues hidden in them. He's basically another Mike Pence. He's a religious zealot who hates women so much he can barely talk to them like adults and he's utterly fixated on abortion. To the point that he named the former president of Ohio Right to Life to lead the state medical board so now this person gets to mess with not just reproductive rights but all healthcare for Ohioans. In another case he named Rick Hodges to lead that Ohio Department of Health even thou Hodges isn't a doctor and had no healthcare experience. He would happily stack the courts with RWNJs just like Trump did. He would've overturned environmental regulations just like Trump did.
  7. When you look back at some of those episodes you can tell there's something really wrong with him. He constantly had the sweats and so much of his acting was like he was just pushing through waiting for the director to call "cut."
  8. THIS. For all the talk about Trump this and Trump that, the truth is that Trump isn't the real problem: it's the GOP and Republican voters.
  9. I see a lot of this on Twitter and I think it's just an attempt to keep people's hopes up and try to push back against despair. It doesn't help but it doesn't hurt either.
  10. I've read the theory that all this chaos is good for Dems because it demoralizes the people who voted for Trump just because they wanted to give him a chance to "shake things up" finally get to see what that instability is like in real life. It may not make them vote Democrat but it might make them sit home.
  11. That's always going to be a risk. The closer he gets to the end, the more desperate he will become.
  12. Donnie tried to fake like he was going to veto. All of this is just his way of ratcheting up the reality show drama.
  13. Bernie's little stunt trying to the co-opt the school walkout only served to show a whole new generation what a fraud he is.
  14. This is going to be a brutal week for him. The FBI and intelligence community are going to make him pay for what he did to McCabe.
  15. Yep. He's firmly on the wrong side of this issue and he's hoping people won't notice
  16. After spending last week in a defiant manic alcohol fueled breakdown look who showed up to the grand jury like a good little boy.
  17. The wheels of justice continue to grind. I hope these traitors are left with nothing.
  18. I won't be happy until he falls apart in public. That day is coming. One day he's going to be at one of his sad little rallies and he'll wander right off the stage.
  19. This. The mediocrity. The venality. The entitlement. These people are straight up garbage.
  20. Oh I've seen it and watching people drag Bernie's trashy kid has been a joy.
  21. A quick review of that guy's Twitter feed shows me that he's a far-leftie/Berner who tries to fly below the radar. They live to bash the Democratic Party. The email from the DCCC said not to politicize the shooting on the day after. Not that they should never talk about gun control.
  22. He may try and run again but it won't work. First, he won't be allowed to run as a Democrat again so he'll have to run as an independent. He's too lazy to do that. He wants to exploit the infrastructure of the DNC. Second, the Russia investigation is going to take him apart. He will forever be stained with the fact that a foreign power used him as a weapon and we haven't even scratched the surface of what Mueller has. Third, a number of states are passing laws requiring that presidential candidates show tax returns. Fourth, he's being vetted now and his record is crap plus the oppo research out there is just waiting to be used. He's going to keep grifting but Sanders 2020 died this week.
  23. Bernie's just like Trump. Nothing is ever his fault. That said I think we've finally reached the tipping point of his little "revolution." If he really did think about running in 2020, he's toast. Between Russia and his past gun votes, he's on the wrong side of two of the biggest issues we will be hearing about for the next few years.
  24. Yep. This is Democrats who are still trying to win over Berners. It's ridiculous.
  25. The military and specifically the Joint Chiefs have a reckoning coming. At some point they are going to have to stand up to Trump. They will have to choose between him and their oaths. If Kelly is any indication, I'm not hopeful.
