I really wonder whether Trump will show up to debate tomorrow. If he does, he's going to be an even bigger mess than we could imagine. That article strikes right at the heart of his narcissism and image he has trafficked in his whole life. All Biden has to do is say "Now we know you aren't as rich as you claim to be," and Trump will freak out. I don't intend on watching in real time but I'm sure the clips will be interesting.

Two former Trump staffers, Michael Caputo and Dan Bogino, have announce they have head/neck cancer on the same day. That's all I'm going to say.

Let me talk you down on that. The Joint Chiefs have already stated that they won't intervene on any issues involved with transfer of power. I think that Lafayette Square mess was the gut-check many of them needed. Also, I know people love to think that the military unilaterally loves Trump but remember, the military is made up of plenty of Black & brown people, and women, and yes plenty of white guys who vote Democratic. And this is all before the confirmation of Trump calling the military suckers and losers. And lastly, as of 1/20/21 Trump is no longer Commander-in-Chief. He won't be able to order them to do anything

The polls only tightened. because a couple of garbage outlier polls got counted. The way I keep myself sane(ish) when dealing with polls is to see if there are three consecutive polls showing similar results. There's very little chance he wins Arizona. He's routinely down by five points there. FL is pretty much 50/50. Also, apparently turnout is INSANE right now and a lot of it looks to be from people who didn't vote in 2016. I know people are getting really freaked out now but Trump and the GOP are counting on that. The latest doomsday porn is because Trump won't agree to a peaceful transition of power but it's not up to him. His term ends on 1/20/21 whether he likes it or not.

He was Obama's VP. Biden knows better than anyone what the GOP is about. He also knows that he needs to make these newborn Independents feel comfortable about their vote for him. It's a sales pitch.

I'm cracking up at DeWine and Husted getting booed. Once the cult has decided that you aren't sufficiently loyal there's nothing you can do to win them back.

Biden's ad game has been perfect from the moment he announced. This is the pinnacle though.

Same. Except I will probably go later in the week. Even before our current fascism I liked to skip day one so they could work out the bugs and the temp workers could get their legs. The thing that's pissing me off is that when I early vote I usually do it with my mom. In the primary, we both early voted because we knew Ohio was going to go on lockdown. Back in 2016, we went to a Hillary rally where Obama was speaking and drove to the BOE right after to vote. But now there's COVID - and Ohio is probably going to see a spike in cases soon because of this [!@#$%^&*] - so I can't risk Mom and I being in the same car.

We're going to need to find a way to deal with these conspiracy theorists even after Trump is gone.

I think this is what it's going to be like until election day: just one bad story after another for Trump. The story a few days ago that Sheldon Adelson has cut him off plus Fox News verifying his insults of the troops makes me think that their internal polling must be hellish.

Whenever Trump screws up, the Greenwald left jumps to turn it into a "both sides" thing. It's like clockwork and yet another example of why these people aren't allies. That said, I don't think the left is all that divided. The Twitter left is acting increasingly stupid but the rest of the world is tired of this. The fringe left is acting out because if this election turns out the way it's looking to, they are done. Every narrative they've fed us since 2016 dies. They need Trump as much as MAGA does.

Don't sleep on #NaturalCauses2020, baby! Seriously though, I'm glad that Trump's health is now front and center. It's way overdue. Plus, as we see. it's the gift that keeps on giving. The more obvious his impairment becomes the harder he tries to fight it. The harder he tries to fight it, the more obvious it will become. That near fall of his last week gave me life.

Recently rapper Ice Cube has been working hard to convince Black people to hold our votes hostage. Saying things like Biden doesn't have a Black agenda, blah, blah, typical voter suppression stuff. It turns out Cube has connections to Steve Bannon. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/politics/wp/2018/05/16/the-ice-cube-steve-bannon-qatar-allegations-explained/ It's a complicated story and I'm not going to pretend that I understand it all but another name caught my eye. Cube's business partner in an alternative basketball league is Jeff Kwatinetz. Remember him from Prospect Park's attempt to reboot AMC and OLTL? Honestly, there seems to be no end to this nest of grifters and con artists willing to sell this country out.

It makes more sense if you stop thinking of them as journalists and think of them as pundits or web content providers. Look at the Washington Post. They had a journalist murdered by the Saudis with the blessing of Trump and Kushnerand yet they still allow right wing propagandists like Marc Theissen and Hugh Hewitt to publish the most twisted of propaganda in their opinion pages. Too many in the media really just can't grasp that they are as vulnerable as the rest of us. That was the interesting part of the George Floyd protests. White journalists who were attacked were shocked at how they were treated by police because they thought identifying themselves as media would protect them.

Cosign. Anyone talking abut not voting this year is unreachable. You're also right about the fauxgressives. I've noticed that the far left has been extra salty this week. I think it's because a virtual convention meant that they couldn't disrupt the event and boo our speakers they way they did in 2016. I saw what some groups were planning for Milwaukee. They were plotting actual destruction. Rushing the stage, protests in the streets around the convention center, just non-stop tantrum throwing but with a virtual convention they ended up stuck on the sidelines complaining about how AOC only got 60 seconds. Rose McGowan is basically the white woman version of Kanye. She likes to pop up every now and then to remind us just how thoroughly unwell she is.

The sad truth is that whenever AOC gets involved with something, it turns into drama and chaos with her being painted as a victim.
