Yeah, and I've tried the best of both arguments with my initial post. Mentally, what Belle witnessed was devastating. In all forms of abuse, Shawn was sexually assaulted. It's so weird because this is a soap, and yet, in the name of humanity, I'm speaking in terms that people don't dismiss or shoo away this kind stuff in real life. No way and no how. I don't care if you're Pentecostal holiness, Amish, or a member of the Westboro Baptist Church. In this stance, Belle has a every right to be mad at Satan or even have a lot of disdain and hurt towards Marlena at the moment. Not Shawn. And what? Because Shawn's a dude then he should just "man it up"? No. That's not how it works. That's not how any of this works. And I see these promos and then Martha Madison tweeting stupid stuff like: "Uh-oh! We're going to need some 🍿 and some ________ (we have no tissue emoticon or I can't find it)." Sure, DAYS is getting really sloppy. That's a no-brainer. The potential to develop a really good story and to tell it from different angles (e.g., Belle, Shawn, Marlena) has been wasted in my opinion. But no. Instead, I predict this plot-driven mess ties in with Ben and Ciara's baby. I swear I feel like I'm watching As The World Turns when storylines came by and went by so fast that I can't remember. Why? Because they're not memorable anymore. After all, how many times have you had to give me a recap of soap history and that stupid stuffed bear? 😄

I see your point because I haven't seen news coverage where athletes are pro-Putin so far. I have watched news stories about nationalism in Russia and how (yet again) false news continues to be posted on social media sites (specifically Facebook). As human beings, we're all products of chance and we're born into a country by chance. Russian athletes shouldn't be barred from participating in sporting events they're completely powerless over unless they're advocates of Putin and nationalism. To me, it doesn't send a good message. After all, be a good sport, right?

Well, let me see if I can explain. Okay, so it was Jan all along, right? Like the fake mask where you morph into someone else that seem to be in the clutches of everyone's hands, the devil used his unique powers to turn Jan into Belle. Satan, who was in Marlena's body, left the hotel room. Outside Salem Inn, Satan marveled at his plan because it was Belle who knocked him out cold when he was inside Marlena at the cabin with Ben and Ciara. This all happened. No talks about deception, sexual assault, or even telling Marlena what the devil did to the two of them. Four months later, bada boom. Jan Spears is pregnant with Shawn's baby.

I've said in the DAYS spoilers that it's hard for me to take this Belle/Shawn storyline seriously as this incident with Jan happened on their wedding anniversary in December. They both CHOSE NOT to talk about the occurrence and both swept it underneath the rug as if it never happened. In real life, if I were a therapist, and if I had clients who's marriage was in possible turmoil, I would ask them simple questions. The most important question, I believe would be: Why did the both of you choose not to communicate with each other? In general, relationships involve communication constantly. Going back to DAYS, and I don't mean to sound like an elementary school teacher here. Belle saw what she saw. Shawn saw what he saw when "Belle" morphed into Jan Spears. Why would they choose blissful ignorance? Why would they not talk about it? As a wife, Belle witnessed something that broke her heart and couldn't figure out why there was a look alike kissing her husband on her wedding anniversary. Shawn, on the other hand (and as Belle's spouse), was sexually assaulted. Yet, Belle goes on with life being EJ's attorney while Shawn continues his civic duty by protecting the citizens of Salem. Even if I belonged in some crazy-ass Shelle fan club in a trailer park in Biloxi, Mississippi, even I couldn't wrap my head around this nonsense. And just when I thought we were rid of Ben and Ciara's former sh!thole studio apartment. Ugh. However, I did laugh out loud when Gabi and Jake were having a personal conversation and Ava was sitting in her bed attire. Gabi looks at Ava and goes: "Do you mind? Could you -- can I speak to Jake alone? Would you mind?" Where was Ava supposed to go? What other viable options would she have besides the cockroach infested hallway or the bathroom? 😆

Dopamine has earned the reputation as being the "feel-good chemical," but other neurotransmitters can also have a pleasure/reward effect such as endorphins, gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), etc. Dopamine also activates memory circuits in other parts of the brain, causing one to remember its pleasurable experiences in the past and yearn for more. So, when I listen to people who say: "so and so doesn't have enough willpower" or "they just don't want to change their life", it just goes more deeper than that. Sure, neurotransmitters are tiny little molecules in the brain , but they play a major role or impact in how we function, feel, and interact as human beings. So, to make this easier to read, let's just say that once that liquid substance hit Brooke's palate, here come the tiny molecules of dopamine saying: "Hello, old friend. Nice to see you again." The problem for me is that I don't know how greatly or poorly executed the alcoholism storyline for Brooke panned out. Since Annie Dutton is tied at #1 as one of my favorite soap characters along with Queen Kristen, Annie being an alcoholic was a far-stretch for me. As a pill popper? Hell, yeah! My girl owned that sh!t.

Well, I just find the whole thing funny. It's like Victor (even though I know John Aniston's physical mobility is sadly deteriorating) just shoves the responsibility to Maggie who has zilch experience in the corporate world. How many times has Victor given it to Brady and then took Titan back, or given it to Phillip and then take it back? All of a sudden, Sonny's in town and then Victor automatically sees it as a way to throw Titan on him, lol! I truly don't know if I'm making any sense or not, but I swear it's like Victor treats Titan like a blood-sucking leech, lol! 😄
