  1. Cousin Eddie Johnson: "Shitter was full!"
  2. Awww. How sweet and thoughtful of Gwyneth to make a homemade coffee mug for her sweet sis while in prison. 🥰
  3. Getting drunk on Yellowtail chardonnay will do that to people. Or, perhaps it was an excuse for her to take a shower and get out of that ugly ass plaid shirt. One or the other.
  4. Well, let's see. Jan seems to be mentioning it frequently and she even whopped down a juicy cheeseburger when Belle and E.J. came by to move her "office equipment" which I guess was done in private. I should know because Belle was wearing that ugly ass plaid shirt. Nothing is more distracting than tasteless clothes. Actually, the wardrobe at DAYS (if they have one) reminds me of Sears. Oh, and H&M. Shortly thereafter, Belle serves Shawn with swift divorce papers in that ugly ass plaid shirt. A couple of hours later (Tuesday's episode [6/7]), Shawn whips up a parfait concoction of spinach of feta cheese for Jan. Again, Jan starts blabbering about a juicy cheeseburger from the Brady Pub. I'm like, "Gurl! Enough already with all that." 😆 The scenes between Johnny, Chanel, and Allie reminded of a television dating game show to the point where I expected Wayne Brady, Howie Mandel, or Drew Carey to pop out and ask: "So, Chanel! Who do you choose? Is it going to be Johnny or is it going to be Allie? (looks directly at the camera) We'll find out an answer (suspenseful pause) right after a commercial break!" Then came that conversation about a basket fries and Johnny wanting his fries extra crispy. I swear to God, I was going to lose it if the subject of mayonnaise came out of anyone's mouth because you know what? We've already been there and done that. Seriously. However, as bad as the Devil 2.0 or 2.75 was, MarDevil, Belle, and Johnny seem to be the only ones with true remorse about it, lol! Okay, so maybe Allie did show some remorse in one episode, but afterwards, she acts all aloof to it telling Will, "Yeah, I heard I was a complete bitch to people." I liked Jan Spears back in the day. Now, I don't care about her as she's too cartoonish for my taste. But, I do like how she kind of "sticks it" to people, especially MarDevil. I just can't seem to wrap my head around the hypocrisy of these characters. Like, I don't understand how Ben gets this "redeem card" while Jan's the one who gets the short end of the stick. That's right, Jan. Keep reminding those hypocrites of their signature shortcomings served Sunnyside up on a cheap Dixie paper plate. Shoot, I'm like that in real-life and I don't hold back either. Sarah seems to have a problem with Every. Effing. Thing. Has she ever been satisfied before in the past? I can't remember. Although Sarah's expertise is in the medical field, maybe she could be the perfect candidate to help redo Belle and Shawn's crib. I know I made a remark about the wall décor and I take back all the insulting things I've said. No, the wall décor does not look like cookie-cutter prints. Instead, this beautiful print reminds me of a print that you would see on the bottom of a homemade ashtray in Florida on a cardboard table, surrounded by several pieces of saltwater taffy.
  5. Same. @Tonksadora provided a great recap of it all (although I could've watched it on Peacock again, but I won't waste my energy) on another thread. Honestly, I forgot what happened. I just remember Ciara looking like a Smurf, the dude with the waxed eyebrows pounding on Johnny, and Tripp bargain-begging with the devil or something to that effect. Then, the timer on my Echo device went off and I went into the kitchen to get something I made out of the oven. Yeah, I didn't even rewind the episode to see the outcome, lol! 😁 If Soap Opera Digest still covers the Best and Worst of Soaps at the end of the year, please, pretty please! Put Devil 2.0 or 2.75 as the worst storylines. Actually, tie it with the Shawn/Belle/Jan/Cheeseburgers storyline too. Well deserved. I watched Monday's episode (6/6) and I'm curious about two or four things: 1) Were those boils on Billy Flynn's chest? I'm not sure because it looked like a circular cluster of something. I didn't know if it was acne, boils, or a rare skin condition that I'm not aware of. 2) What is Abigail's job title/position at The Reporter? Is she a journalist or a private investigator? Journalists receive assignments or evaluate leads or tips to develop story ideas while private investigators write reports or case summaries to document investigations. Maybe there's a complex relationship between the two and correlate with each other in a way? 3) What drug quickly "evaporates" in the bloodstream? The only drug I suspected was gamma-hydroxybutyric acid (GHB). It mostly comes in liquid form, but there are powder forms as well (not so common). Still though, that drug stays in the bloodstream for at least up to eight hours. The fourth one, I'll drop as it was more about me not understanding the purpose of Leo Stark breaking into the Dimera mansion. I didn't understand the intent. Could you imagine if the police were called? Rafe: "What were you doing while breaking inside the Dimera mansion?" Leo: "I wasn't doing anything malicious! I just wanted to talk to a picture frame!" ETA: Lucas Adams looks like a Thundercat with that makeup job.
  6. OMG. That set is so bad. I wanted to comment on it, but I've already made a comment on Paulina's set. No, this wallpaper makes me wish they made a cookie cutter print or something. No, seriously. Like peanut butter cookies.
  7. Thank you. Meanwhile, on a brighter note, Jake and Ava 4EVA! Those two shackin' up in that sh!thole studio apartment is the world's greatest orgasm to life. I'm rooting for them. Don't break my heart, DAYS. Don't break my heart, but this a March DAYS 2022 discussion thread, lol!
  8. Hahahahaha! This show is such a joke. It's just ... I don't know what to say. Last week, I didn't even watch DAYS and thought it would be interesting to watch all episodes this past Saturday on Peacock. Well, from the 5-day marathon that I watched, it was just a bunch of slop. Put a little slop here and put a little bit of slop there ... here a slop, there a slop, everywhere a slop, slop. Plus, I had no idea that DAYS was preempted on Monday and discovered this on Tuesday. It's preempted on Thursday and Friday too? That's cool. 😎
  9. Well, these stories are so damn predictable that either Leo was going to stuff Sonny in a suitcase and ship him to a private island or he was going to get Sonny undressed, take pictures and have them sent to a tabloid newspaper only to have Will discover the pictures on his dandy tablet.
  10. I'm not saying the show wants to us to perceive her as one. I'M playfully joking around and I'm saying that she is, lol! Shall I make a graph and put all the characters of Salem on the horizontal axis and then put the quantity of people slept with on the vertical axis from a five to six month time frame? I like your explanation and it's very much detailed and I thank you for that. I And hey, if this graph would indicate that Nicole has the highest quantity of people slept with, then all power to her. I'm not slut-shaming or whore-shaming. The scene with Sarah was funny in the sense that Sarah doesn't know that Nicole slept with Xander. Actually, she probably knows now since half these conversations are done in private. That could explain why she stormed off to the ladies room when Zander arrived. Or, maybe Eric told her that her baby is dead instead. Who knows? There's nothing climactic about it I know that much as these storylines breeze on by quicker than a New York minute.
  11. This scene made me laugh. It's been a mere 24 or 48 hours since Eli woke up from a coma since March? You just gotta love the sanctity of marriage even in soap-opera fictitious land: Lani: "You don't think that Paulina is guilty? Why would you say that?" Eli: "Well, a couple of things." Lani: "Such as?" Eli: "When you first told me about the shooting, you said that Paulina said that she shot TR." Lani: "She did." Eli: "That phrasing …" Lani (interrupts Eli): "About what?" Eli: "Lani, don't you think that's kinda strange? Why would you put it that way if you were there and witnessed the shooting? Why wouldn't you just say Paulina shot TR?" Lani: "I was upset. I just …whoa, I just saw my biological father get murdered, so I guess I wasn't forming perfect sentences! Is there anything else you want to grill me on, detective?" Gee. For a guy who almost died and then woke up from a coma since March, Lani sure sounds grateful to have her husband alive and well. Oh, and here's another funny conversation between Chanel and Johnny: Chanel (to Johnny): "I wanna go see how Tripp is doing. You know … he and I got close while you .." Johnny: "I know, I know .." Shut up, Chanel. All you and Tripp did was act like a bunch of amateur drunks on New Year's Eve sportin' aound Red Bull breath. That's nowhere to getting close especially when the only conversations Chanel has had with Tripp have lasted as long as the taste of spearmint in the stick of a Trident chewing gum. Yeah, REAL close my ass. 😆
  12. I'm just going to continue to be me and press the envelope some more, so to speak. If any others want to private message me about how they feel, there are other ways to go about it in my opinion.
  13. Oh, for the love of Christ. Well, like they say .... you step from one sociological bubble to another. I'm still going to post satire commentary anyway unless I'm banned. And if that's the case, then I'll look at the subjects of world poverty, social discrimination, cancer, homelessness, etc. and realize that I'll be just fine. 🤓
  14. LOL! I'm not trying to stir some stupid pot. Please, I've got bigger perch to fry in life. I'm just adding satire commentary to a fictional television series. I don't ever recall going after members here because that's just not me. Secondly, if one needs to have total and absolute control in their own environment, then perhaps move to an Amish village and stay clear away from the world of internet. That's the only advise that I can give since we're talking about a fictional television show.
  15. Yeah. That's exactly how I meant it. Come as you are. That's how I live my life. If people misinterpreted that, then I apologize. I used to be a whore and have studied human sexuality, lol! I wish I were still a whore, but people nowadays bore me. I meant no offense. If some took it offensive that I spoke that way about a fictional character, then it is what it is. However, read read what I just about myself, lol! At least I own it.
  16. I am glad Linsey Godfrey is cancer-free after she battled Stage III Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. I find myself easily distracted by the visible tattoo located on her neck. What is so weird is that when Sarah got her memory back from the hospital after taking Dr. Kayla's 3-minute miracle antidote, Sarah Horton shortly became tolerable for a second. Now, the actress is back to being annoying as all holy hell. Thankfully, the tattoo on her neck helps me overlook everything, so I guess the tattoo serves as a blessing in disguise. I wish Maggie would have cut her hair sooner when Sarah was doodling around with crayons, but I'll take it for its worth. Dr. Rolf and Dr. Kayla Johnson should be in an antidote competition reality show as these antidote concoctions are dope AF. Nothing against sexual promiscuity, but two recent scenes with Nicole remind me how much of a whore she is. If she were more of an unapologetic whore, I would have more respect for her. The first scene was with Eric when he inquired about her relationship with E.J., and Nicole replied that she was not with E.J. but now with Rafe. As fast-paced and as these forgettable storylines pan out, thinking of the period of Nicole/Zander, Nicole/E.J., and Nicole/Rafe is quite the doozy. I believe all three instances occurred within one and a half months of each other, but not exactly sure. The second scene was yesterday when Sarah asked Nicole why she was no longer with Eric, and all Nicole had to do was reply that she was a whore, and that's it. It is nice to see Peter Reckell again but rather annoyed at the audio effects used for angel Bo, as the show uses the same audio effect for flashback scenes. I clearly do not understand why he chose to return to the show. I do not mean to get far ahead, but Peter Reckell and Kristian Alfonso definitely had their reasonings back then, and I do not understand what makes it so different now. Hey, fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me. How many times exactly has this been again? Still, this weird vibe feels the same vis-à-vis Grant Alexander when he returned as Philip Spaulding on Guiding Light. When I was a teenager, I used to love murder mysteries on soaps, and as I got older, all I had to do to solve a soap murder mystery was figure out who had a contract with the show and those who didn't. Now, I have no clue, and I don't know if the writers are treating this TR Coates murder as a mystery or not. So far, Rafe and Steve know that the gun present at the scene of the crime was a police gun, but no autopsy so far. So, if the writers are trying to spin this thing around, perhaps revealing a different gun weapon was used to kill TR Coates, watch it be somebody stupid like Beth, lol! She was crawling on the floor of the hallway and seized her moment. And you know what? I really don't care.
  17. LOL! I like the subtitle there: "It's Like a Soap!" OMG! That's so thirsty! 😆
  18. Somewhat, but more along the line with one's attitudes and belief systems and it all varies on a whole scale of ranges from demography to subpopulations (e.g., Traditionalists, Baby Boomers, Gen X, Gen Y, and Gen Z). For example, if Target or Starbucks wanted to promote a salmon chard quinoa salad, do you think that would favor well in California or Alabama? Which age range do you think would buy that product? That's just a silly simple example, but yes, it's behavior. And yes, this SOD sales topic got me all nerdy inside, but it's a good feeling. ETA: I get tickled when I read the tweets on Days of Our Lives on Twitter. You've got a little bit of everything from gender ->educational level -> age demographic. OMG, I know. I don't pay much attention to reality shows. I just find them silly and even the game "reality shows" are rigged AF (e.g., Survivor, Amazing Race, RuPaul's Drag Race) when the producers are behind the decisions in the first place. LOL! SOW put 'American Idol' on the front cover? Now, that's thirsty! 😆
  19. Oh, for sure! There are other independent variables to consider and I'm glad that you brought that up as well. I didn't even think about the digital stuff as it flew right over my head. This is fascinating. If you don't mind me asking, where did you find this information? Is this through a database?
  20. Oh, that's right! Where the hell has time gone? I liked Weekly too and I remember the good ol' AOL days when I would chat with Mimi. She knew me back in the day as I recapped Guiding Light. I enjoyed doing it, but it was a lot of work. Now come to thing of it, you are right with Carolyn liking Y&R because she always had something to say about Y&R, lol!. Maybe my memory is thinking AMC actors instead? @soapfan770 Ouch! So, Another World was canceled in 1999. Guiding Light's last air date was in September 2009 and As The World Turns shortly followed in September 2010. So, that's a decrease, but what I would like to see are the sales from 2011 and 2012 when All My Children and One Life to Live were canceled. Oh, and I forgot about the Prospect Park mess. Still, from 2010 to 2016, that's a significant decrease. I don't mean to get so nerdy, but this is kind of my professional background that I specialize in, but I'm more about statistical analysis. However, there's this behavioral component that intrigues me to this kind of information and that's when I get all nerdy. 🤓
  21. That's really sad to hear. Carolyn Hinsey I had no opinion about although I've heard rumors, but that's her life and her story. For me, reading her column felt like she didn't watch all the soaps and her favoritism towards AMC was ridiculous. But no, I used to love reading SOD. It wasn't my hometown newspaper that introduced me to Twin Peaks. Nope, that was Soap Opera Digest and I couldn't be more appreciative. 🙂
  22. Interesting. I still talk to former soap writers, but we don't talk much about soaps, lol! But going back to the topic that I started with you at hand, do they still have the features that I used to live for? Like, the thumbs up, thumbs down section? What else did I enjoy? Oh, I liked the mailbox section, performers of the week, and believe it or not, I did the crossword puzzles, lol! I loved those!
  23. I haven't bought a SOD in ages it seems and I can't recall if I've ever seen one in grocery stores. Then again, we're now live with the world at our fingertips with the "inventions" of Instacart, AmazonNow, Google, etc. I'm kind of curious as to how their sales are with only four soaps left.
  24. When I saw Steve and Kayla's crib, I thought they lived in the same building as John and Marlena as some model units look the same, so I wasn't sure. Then, I saw that small hallway, and I had a flashback of John's exorcism kit he has somewhere stashed on one of those shelves, lol! I'm a Gwen fan through thick and thin. I don't think that Emily O'Brien has been given any meaty material lately. The same can be said for all the actors, lol! It's not just Emily O'Brien. I don't enjoy criticizing actors, and I hope it doesn't come across that way. But when I see some lousy acting, I call it out. I've always been like that. Perhaps Boatman and Wilson are the nicest people on the planet, but they're both terrible on the show. I think I briefly spoke negatively about Marci Miller, but she is a great actress and wonderfully talented. However, I'm not too fond of her take with Abigail Devereaux because what Abigail needs right now is a big fat lip. Perhaps that is my reasoning for liking Gwenyth. Emily O'Brien's performance this past Thursday with Paul Telfer (5/12) left me breathless (although I would have preferred for Gwenyth to let Zander have it). Still, I'm curious because I thought the spoilers for Gwyneth were going to be different, but I'll tune in for this. It's nice to see the meddling mother hens of Salem find a truce somehow. On the Horton side of town, you've got Julie, while on the Dimera side, you've got Anna. Last but not least, on the Kiriakis side, you've got Maggie. Although we already knew Maggie pressing charges against Anna for what she did to Sarah was bogus, it's nice to see the meddling mother hens of Salem unite. I'm kidding. Maggie, Anna, and Julie are annoying AF. So, the first time Charlie rose from the grave, he looked like Beetlejuice, but the second time he rose from the grave, he was clean as a whistle with waxed done eyebrows. I'm glad this storyline is coming to a closure, but there's still a lot of mess to digest in the town of Salem.
  25. "Hey there, little one." said the child molester. "Want some candy?"
