  1. I haven't watched the show, but Nene's weaves/wigs do not look good. She used to look amazing, what happened?
  2. Snap! And true. He is destined to be a Valley 'ho.
  3. Just have a look at her discography...her recording career is in the toilet, she hardly charts anymore...this is typical of her ilk. What goes around, comes around.
  4. A rather stunning shot of Joan at her wedding to third husband Ron Kass in 1972.
  5. All good thoughts to Camille, she's a tough lady.
  6. "I said PACK IT IN!" Great to have Liz McDonald back!
  7. She still looks absolutely beautiful, such a great actress and a genuine lady.
  8. I can't tell you the number of times I have rewatched RHOV's first season and marvelled at just how perfect it was. First of all, it had a perfect storyline arc of each wife, in their own time, determining that Jody was the devil incarnate, culminating in a glorious exposure of all of Jody's lies and manipulations for the entire world to see. And during that arc we had entertaining stories, glamorous locations, money flowing, beautiful people and quite a bit of family exposure that wasn't obnoxious and fleshed out the women into actual people, rather than two dimensional caricatures. There were so, so many mistakes made for the second season, the most glaring of which were having Jody return, firing Reiko and not hiring Marika Palmer (that fabulous woman who threw Christina's birthday in her amazing apartment) for the show (she put herself forward and the Slice Network declined)...all the infighting made the show toxic and, like Ronnie, the show suffered an Exorcist worthy nervous breakdown. Season One is actually airing in the UK on ITV2...and the show has sold internationally better than any other franchise thanks to, I'm betting, its shorter length.
  9. I wouldn't mind Gretchen being fired for one second simply because it would be the end of Slade! I do appreciate the comparison Cat is making to Stephanie Forrester and Brooke Logan of B&B though, that's really insightful and pretty dead on. Alexis would be leaving on a high note, and good for her.
  10. Barbara Windsor's one off...goodness me is she ever needed on this show. She slipped right back into Peggy Mitchell. This episode definitely left the door open for her to return...or not. I hope she does.
  11. The problem with Brandi saying anything inferring superiority to Lisa is that it rings hollow because there's nothing about Brandi that is superior to Lisa. Also, that line...it's a knockoff of something Lisa said in a VT about Faye Resnick from last season.
  12. RHOBH... Well it looks like it is the season where everyone piles on Lisa...and let's be real, if Brandi and Yolanda turn on her the way it looks they do, they are both dead to me.
  13. No, the person doing the airbrushing on those thighs is the legend...
  14. Uh Oh. It looks like we're about to get The RHOBH Season 4 Jump The Shark Toxic Season.
  15. I will follow Empress Lisa to the gates of hell, so whatever happened between her and Brandi, I'm laying the blame at Brandi's feet. At a point, we all have to pick a side with our favourite Housewives, and Lisa's got my vote. Season 4 really is the season where the shows all die because they just get too personal and nasty. OC, the oldest of the lot, is, in many ways, the 'nicest' of the shows, certainly they are awful to each other, but they also have a certain lightness to themselves, likely because they're relatively suburban women rather than the other franchises were the women live (or think they live: Atlanta and NJ) in a high stakes environment. Ultimately, the OC women still shop at Costco and buy the odd thing at Marshalls like everyone else. After 4 seasons it seems like the women just get too sick of each other and too much water is under the bridge.
  16. NJ is the first RH franchise I dropped, it became far too ugly and too repetitive after the first season Melissa and Joe were on the show.
  17. That's the thing with LuAnn, I don't think she'd ever be described as anyone's favourite, but for delicious bitchery, there are few who can compete with her. She is clever, quick and has a voice that is, paradoxically, warm and icy simultaneously. She's also someone who can be mocked with relative ease...
  18. RHOC Reunion Part 3 was EPIC. Poor Vicki, she is a mess with Brooks. He has nailed himself one hell of a mark.
  19. I don't see Vicki living a lie. In just the same way that you've asserted 'everyone knows about Gretchen and cheating, why admit it'...that's the approach Vicki's taking as well. I find Vicki very straightforward, if Gretchen is too dense to see that Vicki hates her the same way she does that's her problem. I think their fighting has been very even, keeping in mind Gretchen has Slade who does as much of her dirty work as she does. She has never once corrected him and never once told him his behaviour isn't acceptable. She condones it. They're a pair and Vicki is on the warpath.
  20. What I saw was Vicki say to Brianna "Don't bring this up on camera" when she said Vicki cheated on Don with Brooks. I think cheating is vile, but who it's with is immaterial to me because it's the act that's the first hit of deplorable behaviour. I haven't seen Vicki shift blame to Don, she's said, probably 20 times over two seasons, that she had a bad marriage and that both of them cheated. I don't see an obsession at all. What I see is Vicki provoking and being provoked. She's as guilty as Gretchen in that regard, but it isn't a one sided attack. Gretchen has been nice to Vicki's face but she has never liked her in a VT or throughout a season like she has with Tamra. They never clicked. And in just the same way that Vicki trashes Gretchen's licensing deals and business acumen (or lack thereof) and her support of deadbeat dad Slade, Gretchen has trashed Vicki's looks, Vicki's private life, Vicki's friendships and Vicki's relationships. What I'm saying is, they hate each other, clearly. But it's equal, it's mutual and although Gretchen has been much nicer to Vicki's face, the hate has been there just the same, Vicki just doesn't bother with bullshitting Gretchen with a smile on her face, in essence, Vicki doesn't bother lying to Gretchen, she just out and out hates her while Gretchen seethes behind the scenes.
  21. I just don't see the vagueness and dancing around the subject when it comes to Vicki. And I don't appreciate or understand the double standard with Vicki needing to provide more information than Gretchen does. As well, I don't see the obsession you speak of. I see the three of them as having a feud. It's equal blame on all sides. And really...Tamra started it all with "Hold on to your daddies girls, Gretchen's coming!"
  22. I have to admit JackPeyton, I sometimes wonder if we're watching the same show. Vicki hasn't danced around cheating on Don. She has said in VT interviews "I cheated," "I was unfaithful," "There was infidelity on both sides of this marriage for a long time." Thus, I really don't understand what you see as her avoiding or not owning up to. And my issue with Gretchen denying it, even though everyone knows she did and there's proof to substantiate the claim, is that she's lying. And it's a big lie. And it's a pattern of negative behaviour that she won't admit to her lies.
  23. First off, Tamra did bring receipts! Receipts that back up the allegations about Gretchen, allegations she still ludicrously denies. A lying liar who lies. And Lauri's son Josh does not and did not have cancer. She was using cancer as a metaphor for his drug addiction (specifically, heroine) saying that he was currently in remission.
  24. RHOC Lydia was the breakout star of this episode of the reunion...she handled Heather hilariously, the IMDB comment about Empress Lisa, the "just because you say it..." repetition, "princess"...brilliant. For that performance alone she could return. Heather came across very poorly and she really should watch it because that veneer cracking does her no favours. Lauri was such a fail, she has no ammunition whatsoever and the comments about her drug addled son and her granddaughter are major fodder for next season, should she accept an orange. Alexis added absolutely nothing and she should RUN from this show because she'd be leaving on a high note. Tamra was tame this episode. Vicki wasn't shaken by much and she didn't explode, I know it's coming for the next two episodes and I can't wait. Gretchen is a lying liar who lies. And the big problem is she can't even cover her ass because she surely exposed it with: "Why is that that you two can do all these things but the rest of us can't!"...thereby implying that she has done exactly what she's been accused of, she just can't get it swept under the rug effectively like Tamra and Vicki can because, newsflash, she tries denying things supported by photographic evidence. And yes, it's all old news, but it's old news that Gretchen isn't letting go of either. All I know is Jeana was mentioned in this reunion and it confirmed the necessity of her presence so, so much.
  25. RHOOC Lydia...she showed some backbone, her mother was absolutely the victim of a rage-a-holic PTSD sufferer and ultimately she added nothing to the show. She shouldn't return. Alexis...she acquitted herself very nicely this season, she came off as honest, caring and sweet. She also added nothing to the show other than her own redemption. She shouldn't return. Heather...a total snob but she adds glamour, intelligence, and sanity to the show that is otherwise lacking. Gretchen & Slade...they really are a pair. A pair of douchebags. Gretchen really holds a grudge and really lets nothing go. And she and Slade dance around the FACT that he IS a DEADBEAT DAD and that his child support failures are on RECORD in the courts of California. Tamra...she is so smart. She either patches things up with everyone or has a target picked out for the reunion that the other ladies will go with her on by the time the end of season party wraps up. Vicki...well, she is the OG of the OC and for that I enjoy her. Her daughter has lost me though, she's drunk the Kool-Aid and isn't realistic about 1) her mother being able to date whoever she wants and 2) her husband being a psycho. Speaking of which, Ryan is clearly suffering from PTSD, anger issues and a very poor understanding of social boundaries outside of the army. He needs professional help for all of this and goodness knows the US Military isn't going to provide any of it. He is a Lifetime Movie waiting to happen. Vicki Gunvalson in Not Without My Daughter. Overall, a decent season, but nothing outstanding. They need to bring back Lauri and Jeana and get the show rocking and rolling with some humour again. Separate the wives a bit, let us follow their lives some more. Having said that, when I hear that familiar guitar music as the show closes out, I feel that all is right with the world.
