I have a ton of old video tapes that I want to digitalize, but to do that I have to transfer (capture) them to my laptop. Right now I'm using a program from Magix ("Rescue your videotapes"), which comes with a cable (USB/SCART) that connects a VHS-player to a computer, but when I try to import a video it either freezes the picture or cuts off the audio. The editing software is not too bad, but like I said, it's very slow when exporting and there's not many file formats to choose from. --------------------------------------------------- ETA: I just finished uploading an episode from 1999 to the vault, if you'd like to check it out.

Can some one recommend a program for capturing/editing videos? I'm not too happy with the one I have (takes too long to export a 20 min. file and there are only 4 file formats to choose between), so if any of you has any suggestions, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks. 🙂

I have some episodes from 1999 to 2002 that I can upload if you want them. These have subtitles though, and I don't know the episode numbers or the original air dates (are those important?).

IIRC, that's Mitzi Kapture. She was one of the leads on "Silk Stalkings".

There's also video download helper in Firefox. They've changed it though, so you need to download a companion app for it work. Also, for anyone who needs a VPN, you can get the Hola VPN (there's a long list of countries to choose from, including the Netherlands). I don't know if these would work on the Dutch site, but they're both free.
