I know some people get *itchy about my posts because I soap it up - but that's what they're going to do. The one thing I don't understand is the Steffy love without acknowledging she's a *itch and a manipulative unreasonable one at times, too. It's never more than 10 seconds after she has her OWN life, has EVERYTHING she wants, and she has to snivel up to Hope, "saw ya lookin'. Saw ya lookin' at my brother. Sure there isn't anything else there? Are ya sure? Saw ya lookin'." It's always THAT kind of thing with Steffy that no one seems to notice. Like, *ITCH go BE with YA MAN. Stay OUT of other people's business. But, that's soap opera, and it means she's like her meddling Grandmother - who could never be happy with what she had - always has to then make other people miserable. There are always other ways to look at a situation. But Steffy consistently hangs onto Liam as a 'just in case' as well - just as badly as HE DOES. It wasn't enough to get the hot doctor....then, ya gotta put your nose in OVER THERE. Anyway - Bibberty will be in musty's pants soon enough. And it's clear that Sheila is always here to stay and I have no idea - if they're going to constantly make the world stupid for Sheila - at least make it MEAN something. There's no Sheila without Y&R, and yes the character works better on B&B because there are fewer people to make look stupid....because you have to make everyone stupid to have Sheila, so it makes sense that B&B is where she fits because - otherwise all of Genoa City would be a bunch of idiots and it would look even more ridiculous. But for God sake when she's causing trouble, have Eric place a phone call to his friend Lauren or any number of things. I don't know. I think I think too much - or it's definitely my World Turns and Guiding Light roots where villians and anti-heros and anti-heroines were just BETTER all the way around.

It will be interesting in a month or so - to see Steffy - after she’s talked to Mom Taylor - who convinces her to return to LA because Finn has disowned his mother and denounced this crazy relationship with Deacon - and needs her to come home to be by his side - as they stand against Sheila, and Finn needs you, come home. But it unfortunately coincides with a very drunk and drugged Finn (Sheila and Deacon did it) banging Hope in his and Steffy’s wedding bed. But Liam will be there to comfort Steffy - in which case Sheila and Deacon get pictures of Steffy and Liam, thus tying her hands and ensuring Finn has shared custody of the children and grandmotherly visitation rights. Cause he will flip when he sees the pics of Steffy and Puke. That’ll suck for Steffy. I only caught the Finn Deacon Sheila scene because I wanted to see how bad a redemption would be - I gotta give Bibberty credit, he sold the anger the best he could, pretty good. He still gonna get in Hope’s musty pants tho just like I said three months ago.

I hadn't heard that, but makes total sense. It's much easier to do Liam/Hope/Steffy/(insert extraneous character) version 28.4. He even uses almost the exact same dialogue - at this point, ChatGPT really could just do it. I use it for work all the time - and once you have a passage, you can just ask it to rewrite what you give to it - in shorter form, longer form, more descriptions, etc. and it does it. You literally could plug 1 page of dialogue in, and tell it to rewrite it and it will already come really really close to giving you something really good and brand new. That's why the writers have protections after the strike.

I tuned in once and saw a lovey dovey scene + either saw an article or a commercial about the lovey dovey brand new Sheila - and just nope. It makes zero sense that these people only have each other to sleep with, date, etc. We've all said it. The B&B LA consists of 10 people and isn't actually a city. There's never been any explanation of where Sheila's endless money comes from - and she's not anything to be taken seriously - in the life of Sheila it's too late. And yes, even in soaps it can be too late. I would doubt even 1% of fans out there that are waiting to fall in love with Sheila. They need to do the murder mystery and be done. No connection to Y&R still - makes no sense. Totally easy to do a decent crossover, wouldn't cost anything? Much? Dunno. Tracy and Lauren on a girls' trip to LA? You know, maybe cross paths with Sheila? Sally? Anyone? Is there any hope (Courtney Hope) that the person on the other end of the phone with that new girl is Sally? I only saw her once in the Forrester living room in secret phone convo so that's who I thought of, or maybe Clark Garrison, or Macy? I should look through the threads - some of you probably already know or it's already been reported. That is one thing on B&B that interested me - and the Eric vs Ridge fashion COULD interest me but, it wasn't looking great with the silly "disbelief" of why on EARTH would ERIC BE WORKING AT HOME? And Brooke and other characters - WHY on EARTH would he WORK AT HOME, I Mean it's SILLY! To which I said....these characters.....after COVID.....think THIS is silly? That....Eric would work on a collection at home, and this is something to OOOOOH and AHHHHH over??? Trash.

Either Oakdale (ATWT) or Springfield (GL) the early to mid 80s to 1992 or 1993. Is either be fighting Lily for Holden or Shannon for Duncan - orrr I’d be doing my best to get under Josh or Tony Reardon

I can’t watch any of it because I have a memory and the show requires you not to have one. I remember Thomas scaring the shi$ out of his own son with camera ghosties and voice recording imitations of people and so when Douglas maybe DOES have a thought of his own? I think he’s Damien the Omen child and nothing is cute about either of them. But please do take Hope and leave. All 3. And I’m not interested in Sheila’s possible love story - don’t care. Those are the 2 things I’ve seen when I tuned in the past week/two weeks. Haven’t seen any Eric or Ridge design stuff because meh - I don’t stick around long enough. Also of no interest - Finn anything with trying to win Steffy back when it’s his psycho Mom that’s the problem - and always will be - next? I did notice the ratings are up slightly week to week so it looks like it’s working. Down year over year, but everyone pretty much always is. Tanner is smart to keep up with commercials. B&B needs to end Sheila with a murder mystery and maybe tie it back together with Y&R. Lots of people should be interested in making Sheila miserable or at least know she’s continued to cheat law for 30 more years. Really the problem is that I don’t care about any of these characters. Did something happen with Bill and Li that they really don’t know each other now and never did??? Where are — other people? There’s no story woven into this story. I would have Li go to half the rest of the cast and plot Sheila’s murder - and in a big twist - have them all get away with it.

Except I think it meant more then and didn’t just happen after 2 glances at one another. The show is so bad now that it doesn’t really matter - people are divorced (annulled) and in bed with someone else, pregnant and married the next day. I almost think at that time- the writers knew to just let Susan Flannery turn basic into magic on her own.

Well and there’s no hope hahaha. Because it says it doesn’t even matter if you knew or didn’t nor what your intentions were. Doesn’t matter. Simona you in trouble, girl. Keep those skills up, see ya when ya turn 36.

From what I gather her entire defense is that it was contaminated by this illegal substance twice by accident - both from different sources. And she didn’t disclose that she was taking anything at all on the form. I mean - it’s too much to believe. That’s not an accident. Unless she tries to throw her own people under the bus that they’re drugging her without her knowledge. Guilty. Sorry. She knew what she was taking.

And that rating was alllllllll Alllllllcaraz so we can see his phine azzzzzzzzzzz. Hahaha

The viewership doesn't surprise me - people want to see Coco. She's got marketability and is a look toward the future, if there is one. Joker doesn't have that kind of marketability (I've always felt badly for him in that respect, because he's not Federer nor Nadal - and it just "is what it is") - and Medvedev - has got to be the most drab, dishrag, boring player I've ever seen. It's like watching an emotionless machine hit a ball.

The fashion on this show has never been good. I can remember exactly zero show stoppers and everything has always looked like Dynasty 1982. Remember when Quinn would sit and stare at pieces of plastic and metal through a little monocle? And they’d put a pathetic triangle earring on someone like it was transforming because Quinn and Wyatt make such beautiful jewelry? I saw Ridge playing in a pouch of something and the camera panned up to see me terrible hot pink thing. Garish. But I watched because it’s not Sheila, Liam, Hope, Steffy or Finn - in no particular order - no exactly that order. I tuned in sporadically to see how they would explain away Sheila again and then catching endings. I predict the show stoppers - Eric will design for the almost imaginary Donna showstopper and Ridge will design for Brooke and both will want their man to win. Brooke has cold feet about going onstage wearing the gown because of Eric really wanting to do well. No one available to wear the gown, (contrived there are no more models) - Taylor appears to fill in Ridge in person about Steffy’s new life (maybe with Steffy in tow as a surprise - hey if it’s one month from now?). Ridge asks her to wear it, please - Brooke won’t for Donna’s sake— Taylor puts the gown on with no real detail about what’s been going on.

Odd because although cheesy I tuned in. I’m in the group that is tired of - that includes Steffy in the group always solely reserved for Liam and Hope. Yea we’ve done someone needs to hold someone’s hand to design (Ridge and Caroline). But it could have the possibility of addressing age-ism in the workplace. It won’t but I am intrigued with something different. And I’m also tired of unshaven unsavory looking Ridge - kinda not fashion designer looking + creepy skeevy son. The fashion design battle should involve Sally but they were stupid - so getting some piece of the original concept of the show - I’ll take. I still prefer my idea of secret designer Sally instead.

I wanted it to be Serena - maybe someday it could be Coco. But I’m glad someone did it - I’m OK with Joker.

I’ll never forget Tina on the morning show. One of them said to her - speaking of all the years coming and going from the studio (and I was screaming at the TV — uhmmm y’all don’t even know WHAT STUDIOS she’s been coming and going from - number of studios and taping locations long before this one before you were ever even EMPLOYEDDDDD) and they said to her - “You’re really going to miss this place and CBS” it was almost cruel. Tina - such class - said “and you’ll miss us”. And you know what? They may not (but we do) because none of that morning team I believe is even there, and a wife of someone had to step down from working (but gifted with work because of sleezy husband). No one will ever remember who even made such a stupid comment but we remember Guiding Light and the people.

If she can draw up to this level when she needs to - maybe Swiatek would still bother me. But I don’t think her best would be able to stand up to the Coco we just saw. I think she could be as dominant on hard court as possibly even Nadal was/is on clay. If she’s able to keep healthy, her serve can improve. Everyone can have a down day - but this absolutely is Sabalenka’s best. When they showed the one box and I saw Monica - I said ahhhhhhhh. Monica thinks Coco is ready and she wants to see it. She’s not a regular at these. It was loud, it was sensational. And she did it right - she “gets” it. In several interviews she’s said how lucky to have a great life and she knows what a gift it is. Wonderful to see, such a void getting filled - the women’s game is on fire.

GL and ATWT were my shows....I remember ATWT being dreadful during the Stern and Black years, but back to GL - I remember during a writer purge at Guiding Light that the actors and actresses had a part in saving JLH's position because they all loved her and basically said - whatever y'all think is going on, she had no part of it, and is one of the main reasons the writing is hanging on.

What I said about Ostapenko's win - that she would flounder next round....and Keys after beating Pegula - she'll go down next round. It's what she does. I really hope she doesn't read messageboards anywhere though because I'm sure everyone says it. But, she chokes. She's never going to win a major. I never thought it possible but I think she may care less than Lindsay did at times. Always so annoying to watch them kick the ball around....and I've seen them do it when they are totally UP and no reason on Earth that they would lose a match - and the ball kicking and bewildered looks start. Then you know - yep, she's done. She's up 6-0, 5-0 but for whatever reason, she's lost this match. And you just laugh.

Just merciless, it's just delicious. AND THERE ya have it! hahahahaha.

No - because the AC would take hours and hours to cool the place down and with that many people in the stadium, it would be even hotter than with the roof open. It creates a hot green house. I don't know how well it does if they just have it closed for the evening or day before, with the AC on, but I think that many people under one roof would make it boil - that's what I've heard as the reason.

ATWT: The time around/when James Stenbeck was bad but not as bad as he would get - brother Gunnar was on also. Tom and Margo were played by Justin Deas and Margaret Colin....the Mr. Big storyline. (I believe this was during the Dobson period of writing the show) I remember Betsy, Steve, Craig as the triangle and what a huge supercouple Steve and Betsy became. Loved the Summer storylines with Marcy, Jay, Frannie (not yet Julianne Moore). I saw the introduction of the Snyder family a little bit later, and of course Holden and Lily's story. But I was also drawn to Ellie as well as Meg with her relationship and abuse with Tonio Reyes. One really compelling story that kind of gets lost in the memories of viewers - was Caleb and Angel, and her abuse by her father - the fabulous James Rebhorn (who had played Beth Raines' father on Guiding Light). And I was always a huge fan of Emma Snyder (Kathleen Widdoes) and I think she deserved an Emmy in there but I don't think she ever got one. But boy could those actors and actresses make that simple Snyder kitchen look like home, and I wanted to swim in the Snyder pond every day!

I don't understand why people think Sheila is a good idea. It's 20 years ago. I saw the end, then rewound just to confirm, but didn't need to. Repeated lines, Steffy stands there speechless looking horrified and stupid. Finn stands there like the utter dope that I said they would make him.....because, you have to for Sheila. Everyone has to be insanely stupid, because of Sheila. It's the same thing they did for like 3 or 4 years with Quinn. Like.....you wouldn't get up in her face and say GET OUT OF THIS HOUSE *ITCH. ?? YOU SHOT US. You want to KILLLLLLL someone when you shoot them. GET OUT OF THIS HOUSE. And when she attempts to speak, SHOVE HER OUT. God I want to write this show. It would be funny to GRAB her and THROW her OUT. "Yep, you're a changed person, you've got your connections woooooo what connections you have, you're great, you're wonderful, your INSANE, NOW GET OUT OF MY HOUSE!" And TOSS her OUT. Instead, both Finn and Steffy look helpless....they STAND and look helpless IN THEIR OWN HOUSE. It's pathetic. And when I rewound and saw Liam and Wyatt having - meaningless conversation....repetitive meaningless conversations about things they already KNOW and HAVE KNOWN....with BOTH characters making wacky faces. CRINGE. It's bad y'all.

Well holy cow if the Fernandez/Townsend doubles match is fun! And I hate doubles.

So I would guess this is probably what will be Madison Keys as well. I called it earlier in the week when I saw who was where in the draw. I said, Oh Madison will pull out her best match against Pegula and then TANK because.....it's Madison and it's what she does. So, we shall see.

I am just making sure. Are we really talking about whether Ron Moss or Tanner Novlan is the better actor? Let’s just leave it at - it’s a close race. Ridge - yes unfortunately an original important character - Ron Moss is lucky he ever had a job. Bibberty traded up from commercials and will probably be in many many many lifetime movies. He’s Taylor Lautner-esque and I wouldn’t bet on any Oscar worthy stuff.
