I remember reading about Beverly Johnson's claims against Chris Noth way back when the Black Voices message board was active. This never got much attention because it seemed that only the tabloids picked it up. At the time there was no way that a black woman (even one an accomplished one) would have been believed over a popular white actor.

Did anyone think some of the establishing shots were weird?
In some Salem looked like a quaint little village, in some they looked like my old neighborhood on 6th street and in others it looked like a metropolis.
Haven't seen the movie yet, but this sort of thing fits with how all over the place soap towns are. The writers want them to be everything from a rural hamlet to a suburb to a huge metropolitan area.

Well... bringing Lexie into the mix could end it.
I think Lani and Kristen would be a hot couple, personally.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought this. There is a unique chemistry there that could be expanded on.

They really should have given his character an embarrassing, absurd exit. Something like he ate too many flaming hot cheetos and pooped himself to death.

The one time that I felt ashamed of my humanity is when I felt an ounce of sympathy for Trump when he was sick.

Arlene Dahl was also the mother of Lorenzo Lamas (Falcon Crest, B&B).

Coming out is a very individualized experience. I first did it 8 years ago when I told my mother and it was quite a relief that get that out. Last week I told several family members and announced it on social media which was something that I thought I would never do, but it worked out well because everyone was accepting. How I see it is if people don't accept your coming out and cut you off then that is a way of seeing the truth about them. If you really love and care about somebody you don't cut them off for being gay. Knowing who is truly in your corner in important and even hearing bad reactions is conducive to growth.

Not sure if this was ever posted, but I thought this was a nice magazine cover of Debbie and Darnell when they were on Loving.

Cane Ashby on Y&R. After he was undone as Jill's son it was surprising that he even kept on.

He currently holds the most Republican congressional district in Arizona so that's why he's still in Congress. Although redistricting has changed the map a lot and Gosar might be in some trouble in the future if he continues to go this far. The Native American reservations and liberal Flagstaff have been have been added to his district.

From what I've read he's not very good anyway so this is hardly a loss.

I think that Melissa Fumero was well cast as Dorian's daughter on OLTL, because she does somewhat favor a younger Robin Strasser.

Profanity has to be used in moderation and not just to be edgy, especially when it comes to a format where it wasn't present before. That aside, I remember waking up first thing in the morning to watch the PP's AMC and OLTL while I had breakfast. It was a good time.

B&B: Maya being transgender. Now this was probably less of a risk and more of a gimmick to put spotlight on the show, but no matter what it had no payoff long term.

Life does imitate art because he looks as old as she does similar to some of Kate's children on DAYS (*cough* Lisa Rinna's Billie). But in all seriousness this is really good news for her and it is nice to see family reunited.

It wasn't necessarily too risky, but Brooke and Deacon's affair on B&B was a bold story that had good payoff. Brooke had slept with other women's husbands, but to do that to her daughter was a new low. The way it was done was exactly how soap operas should be done.

That whole picture with Romney and Sinema was weird. This is not a television program, it's real life and the fact that we have elected officials playing silly games like this is a testament to why this nation is so far behind the curve on just about every economic measure.

Meghan McCain has huge anger issues and also entitlement ones Nobody wants a co-worker like that. As much as she hates Trump she still tried to sneakily defend some of his behavior under the guise of her being a conservative. All that aside, I think that she quit because she knew that her contract would not be renewed.

The 80s theme song to Another World was annoying and loud.

Erika Slezak had great moments as Viki.
But with the caveat I never saw her first take on the role when it was first created (and I hear this was the best version), her work as the alters was just uncomfortably bad imho. I swear that Niki is the broadest least subtle caricature of a performance she could possibly have chosen to give. I hear the argument that she was written as a caricature but I would cringe every time she came on-screen as someone else other than Viki because the scenery-chewing was just too in-your-face for me.The first actress to play Viki also originated Niki and that performance was said to be good. With that said, Niki was written more and more over the top over time. When Erika Slezak first played Niki in the 80s the writing and performances were more subtle.

The vibe of the trailer seems to indicate that this might be for a Halloween episode.

Can't think of anyone to add to the list, so I'll just say that it wasn't just that the soaps copied Alexis, they copied the money and power structures from the primetime soaps. Sure there were some characters with money on daytime soaps before the primetime trend hit, but most of the soaps were still middle class oriented.

This lindsay and Gaby I Didn't know, the rest I adore yes, but it's Victor or Victoria?
By the way I understand your point about Sue Ellen, but she was pretty bitchy to Pam during early seasons just like Lucy, but the angle of bitchness I apply for her is that she got stronger and bitchier with the March of time she was bitch yes but mostly when it was necessary specially to defend herself and her best interests
I meant Victor, because he can get fairly bitchy when it comes to Jack. But you have a point about how Sue Ellen treated Pam, I haven't seen Dallas in a long time and I had forgotten about that.

This perfomer would have been good in that role

A non-soap actress, but I always thought that Joanna Barnes who played Vicki in The Parent Trap would have been good on a soap opera. Perhaps as a sister for Katherine Chancellor to go up against.
