For the record, there are 57 primaries and caucuses, which is what Obama was refering to. He clearly did not actually believe that there were 57 states.

I'm glad that you feel an extraordinary foreign policy achievement entitles Barry to a second term. Unfortunately, this was not the view of members of your own party twenty years ago, when unemployment was lower than it is today. Instead, Democrats kept on telling us that foreign policy was virtually irrelevant, that "it's the economy, stupid," and that George H.W. Bush needed to go ASAP. While this is just my opinion, this type of flip-flopping makes Mitt Romney look principled in comparison.
Fact is, he knows how to get the job done and of course post-9/11, those foreign policy issues were more important than before. The notion that him being a "community organizer" was some how a problem fell flat once Bin Laden and even Gaddafi were taken out.

Sadly, it was no joke when America elected a former "community organizer" and Senate back-bencher to the presidency in 2008.
And yet, Bin Laden was gone within two years on the watch of that "community organizer", something a two term former Governor couldn't do in two whole terms.
I'd also like to point out that Obama had more education than McCain and actually held a job outside of the government. McCain has been government employed exclusively.

Oh, yes, the conservative apparatus has definitely been playing the race card at every possible turn. Cain himself started it by talking about Obama by taking jabs at Obama being biracial.

Romney isn't really the type to be classified by terms such as RINO, he takes whatever position is political advantageous. When he ran against Kennedy for Senate in 1994, he sounded completely different than he does now. Once he started positioning himself to run for President after he got elected Governor, he moved further to the right. It's plausible he's always been very conservative, but just played a long with what works in Massachusetts.

On the subject singing at funerals, I like this clip

Notice how Asa, Renee and a few other people were not clapping on beat.

I just finished watching Peggy's exit. It was so well done, I won't give it away, but it was fitting.

That's how a proper stunt on a soap is done. Everything was right on the mark. I don't think any of the US Soaps could ever pull off a stunt that well.

Rituals was syndicated and ran for a year in the 84-85 season.

No overdrive, just stating facts. I'm not sure why something that happened over four years ago is really relevant at this point. If you really think the President actually thought there were 57 states, then good for you, but a Google search will show how many primaries and caucuses there are.
As for Quayle, he had a reputation of being dim even when he was in the Senate, so the misspelling thing was not what earned it for him.
