  1. Candace pretty much has two hits out on her.

Veronica has gone completely crazy, all that royalty talk was insane. Jeffrey was looking at her like she was nuts.

Looks like next week, Kathryn will have Benny moved, but Hanna will get arrested for it, because it looks like she moved him to usurp the judge's order.

  2. The new song is okay, but just standard R&B fair that sounds similar to some of her other material in more recent years. Her first three albums are definitely her best material, as lyrically, the songs were a lot more powerful.

  3. With the anniversary of the Northridge Earthquake just having come a week ago, I was reminded of one of my All My Children memories. Even though we lived 60 miles north of the valley, the power in Santa Barbara was knocked out for hours and I recall my mother and grandmother being disappointed at missing the show, because Grace Keefer had kidnapped a baby and they wanted to see what happened next. "Shoot, we gonna miss what she did with that baby", lol.

  4. The writers sort of set up the story line of Jill going insane with that scene where Abby commented on the first Mrs. Ewing always being there, so I think there was some long-term planning on what to do with the character.

  5. I prefer the longer scenes, it gives more character development and less filler like some other shows have.

Hanna outed her secret by mistake, that was a pretty good twist.

Wyatt running over Benny was not something I was expecting.

Jeffrey is still lying, if anything, his dishonest and instability should be Veronica's problem. Veronica was worse than Blake Carrington berating Steven, but I had a hard time feeling sorry for Jeffrey, he's just not sympathetic after all machination. I bet he'll try to take the fall for Wyatt next season, since that was his car that Wyatt was driving.

  6. That Jim and Kathryn scene was a long time coming, lots of history revealed there.

Hanna and Kathryn are always a highlight.

Cuckoo Bananas done gone and hit Wyatt upside the head. I know he was going to end up hurting him. Wyatt played him to the left and it was so obvious, but Cuckoo was so desperate that he couldn't even see it. And Wyatt did know that he was in the bed with him, I figured that he knew.

  7. No, Candace didn't tell him, she didn't say anything either way, just told him to get out.

Jeffrey let the truth out and then took it back. It will be interesting to see if his scheming comes out in the next episode or the finale.

Veronica putting together the pieces was the best part of the episode and I agree that the actress played that scene very well.

  8. Him crying outside the hospital room was so pathetic. Wyatt is hot and has a great body but what are you in love with? He talks down to you most of the time and clearly doesn't like you. Damn there are plenty of men he could be with but you know Tyler living vicariously through this character.

I don't think Jeffrey is really in love with Wyatt, it's more like a twisted lust and childish clinging.

That's exactly what happened to the "fast ass" foster girl on the Meet the Browns show. She got raped by her mother's boyfriend and her mother believe the boyfriend over her.

Unfortunately, that's common in poor and/or urban communities (some non-urban ones too), many mothers put a man before their kids and chitlin circuit writers never shy away from using it as a theme.

  9. Jeffrey is bonkers, he looked so unhinged in that scene where he was telling Laura to stay away. "If you love him, let him go" was ironic coming from Jeffrey, but I don't think he really loves Wyatt, I think he only lusts after him.

Celine is stupid and desperate, she actually believed that Jim loved her, so she's crazy, too.

  10. That scene with Jim and Candace was very violent, I was not expecting that at all.

Jeffrey is a freakin' psycho, I think he's going to end up trying to violate Wyatt and it will tie in with the whole abuse story. Tyler Perry can get twisted with stories sometimes, I could see it going there.

Veronica was a badass in the last scene when she took those pictures out and threw them around.

  11. Jeffrey is possessive, I wouldn't be surprised if he turned into a raging psycho, the whole sniffing the dirty shirt thing was kinda nutty and so was the whole getting teed off at Wyatt's woman showing up.

Veronica was rude to Hanna about being a maid. A lot of black people wouldn't be professionals today if their parents hadn't done domestic work. Hanna did manage to throw some shade at her about knowing her son well, Veronica had it coming.

For a second, Veronica looked at Benny sort of moony. It would be interesting if they ended up entangled, I see more potential chemistry there than Benny had with the Darcy character.

All the double entendres in Candace and Wyatt's conversation were hilarious.

  12. When Celine accused Hanna and Kathryn of being lesbians, I was rolling. She is so out there, it's funny.

Hanna praying with David was a very dramatic scene, but not to far off from what some very religious, black mothers might do if their child was in serious trouble and they were scared out of their mind. The scene made me cry.

Kathryn speech at the beginning was brilliant and it's clear that she's probably the only person who can really match Candace, because Candace was speechless.

  13. Oh yes, I remember that guy: UnskewedPolls.com. Nothing makes me happier than reminding neocons on the internet how they fell for the Romney LANDSLIDE!11! talk. He fleeced those idiots good. That sad thing is that those are the people who when faced with evidence that refutes their beliefs, simply choose to believe harder so no matter how many times they let themselves get screwed, they just keep coming back for more. Trickle down economics, austerity, abstinence only education, etc.... all examples of ideology that has failed over and over yet the simpletons keep insisting that we just need to do it more.

The saying "a fool and his money are soon parted" applies to some conservatives well. And the only things they want to hear are things that they like, everything else is considered biased or false.

  14. If you weren't attacking Rick Santorum directly--when all of the other politically related comments in that thread dealt with Santorum--then I don't understand why you didn't originally post your thoughts in this thread. I never argued with your premise that there are some phony conservatives out there who are in it to enrich themselves, but you seemed to imply that Santorum was taking that job solely for that reason. I'm sure monetary concerns are part of it, but so is the ability to spread his message. I'm sure that both of those factors were reasons why Sharpton took his MSNBC gig. Al Sharpton has a lot to do with this issue, because when you gleefully brought up the topic of politicians looking to cash in, you threw stones without pointing out the rotten apples on your own side. Hypocrisy and corruption exist on all sides of the political spectrum, but since you have started this game of "can you top this," here is a list of just some African-American liberal politicians with ethical issues: Marion Barry Roland Burris John Conyers Alcee Hastings Jesse Jackson, Jr. Sharpe James William Jefferson Kwame Kilpatrick Carol Mosley-Braun Charlie Rangel Harold Washington Maxine Waters

You quoted me in this thread, so I responded here. Most of the people you list are broke as a joke and I wasn't really talking about political ethics issues. I was referring to how a whole lot of conservatives look to make money off sometimes gullible hardline conservatives. Santorum's goal has more to do with money than it does principle.

  15. While there are some conservative Christian leaders who have become wealthy, I certainly hope you are not suggesting that this is an exclusive phenomenon to that community. We can take Al Sharpton--who is revered by many liberal African-Americans--as just one counterexample. He has done several despicable things on his way up, including supporting the vicious lies told by Tawana Brawley and making disparaging remarks about Jews. But regardless of my own personal feelings towards him (which likely mirror your thoughts about Santorum), I will acknowledge that he--like Santorum--deserves credit for being authentic when it comes to the causes that concern his community.

Al Sharpton has nothing to do with this at all, I'm talking about how conservatives have a big racket going on to make money. There was a guy selling website subscriptions who claimed all through the election that every poll was biased against Romney and he turned to be wrong. Glenn Beck was spokesperson for gold companies with sketchy practices and let's not forget Christine O'Donnell using campaign funds to pay her rent. The list goes on and on, but there is plenty to suggest that conservatives run games to make money by playing off conservative views.

  16. Celine is a trip, so insane. "He doesn't like black women", rofl, the hell he don't, she has no clue who Jim was with when she was going on her deranged rant.

Amanda really played a dangerous game listening to Candace, that professor is crazy.

David knows that Hanna and Candace are related, this should be interesting.

  17. Candace telling that sob story and then running in the bathroom laughing cracked me up, she is a trip.

The revelation of Benny's father was a little quick, but I'm thinking that the writers want to give Hanna some more story and get more into her background.

I think Wyatt was trying to figure how Jeffrey really feels about him in order to manipulate him later, it's obvious that Wyatt wants out of rehab. Plus, he has already threatened Jeffrey with that video (which Jeffrey doesn't know about), so I think he may end up blackmailing Jeffrey at some point.
