1970s Y&R had the Chancellors, Lance Prentiss, Prentiss Industries; all those preceded Dallas. Yes, we don't picture Wisconsin as home to multinational conglomerates and a cosmetics company in the vein of Clinique, Elizabeth Arden, Estee Lauder. Then again, would anyone watch a daytime drama set in Wisconsin with rival families in the business¬†of artisan cheese or gourmet sausage or craft beer? Probably not ūü§£

I'll admit that I don't know much about early Y&R so I wasn't aware of those story elements. Cheese and sausage might not work, but beer probably would. Falcon Crest managed to make wine work, but then again wine making is associated with wealthier people and vineyards are a good scenic backdrop.

  2. Much of the business elements and wealth on daytime soaps was copied from primetime soaps. There was some wealth on soap operas before Dallas and Dynasty, but daytime soap operas originally revolved around working to middle class characters. In fact many of the small town settings do not fit with corporations and wealth. B&B is the only soap with a setting that matches with wealth and business machinations.

Actor Chadwick Boseman, who played Black icons Jackie Robinson and James Brown before finding fame as the regal Black Panther in the Marvel cinematic universe, died Friday of cancer, his representative said. He was 43.

Boseman died at his home in the Los Angeles area with his wife and family by his side, his publicist Nicki Fioravante told The Associated Press.

Someone else the media is fawning over, and telling us is even better than Obama. They love to push the minority Republican storyline at any cost. This man is, like his bankroller McConnell, so soulless that he chose to inflict pain on the people who were mourning and trying to get justice for Taylor by releasing engagement photos with his fiancee - a big, happy, white family, grinning at the camera to remind them who will always win out. Absolutely depraved. This is the modern GOP.

Releasing those pictures seemed calculated to me. As if he was trying to reaffirm his commitment to maintaining the establishment. But he had no problem using Breonna's name to score some sort of cheap political points to look reasonable to the public.

  5. The toothless rat of an Attorney General of Kentucky had the nerve to invoke Breonna Taylor's name at the RNC while he refuses to arrest the police officers who killed her. These people are shameless.

  6. The whole scare tactic that the Democratic Party is too far left didn't work in the midterms and it won't work this year. There is a dissonance between the rhetoric and what much of the public believes. Republicans are trying to make out like Biden is a terrifying communist, but it just isn't believable. If anything Trump is a terrifying right-winger that can be successfully portrayed as such and he's also a negative person all around. It was no mistake that the convention played up Biden's humanity and his commitment to his family (and Harris' family commitments were played up too).

The¬†thespians of our¬†generation. Were making so many stupid faces.¬†ūü§£¬†A righteous Sonny¬†ūüźĽ¬†was more unbearable than usual.¬†

This face would have worked if Will had more attitude and was like "Heifer, I don't care if you are mad. Stay mad."

  8. Press outlets have a real problem with identifying women industry as the wife or ex-wife if they are married or were married to a man who is also industry. Whoever put together that article clearly just searched for photos of "Justin's Hartley's wife".

  9. There is no good reason for him to be shirtless for Eve torture him. Carlivati is just trying to get his freaky deaky circus sex fantasies out on television. This is almost as bad as the crazy sexual things that Tyler Perry has on his shows.

  10. Why would Eve want to turn Ben back into a killer instead of just killing him? It's not like she's a villain like Stefano or Vivian who is methodical enough to do all that.

So THIS is the type of kinky [!@#$%^&*] Carlivati is into. How many times did he already ejaculate to these scenes?

This promo definitely looks like it is a part of somebody's freaky fantasy.

The only thing he’s qualified for is porn, and even there, there is acting talent better than him.

LOL, that's not nice. I don't think he is a bad actor, because he actually did the insane material pretty well and came off as rather frightening.

  12. There are so many scammers out there and even the identities of deceased people have to be protected. If deaths aren't reported right away to the Social Security Administration and IRS this can happen.

  13. All of the Lopez-Fitzgeralds were played by non-Hispanic actors except for Paloma and the second Miguel.

Cord and Maria on OLTL were portrayed by people who were not Latino either. John Loprieno is Italian and Barbara Luna is of a variety of European ethnicity and Filipino.

Will: Let's toast to me surviving you killing me.

Ben: Let's toast to you licking my a$$.

Will to Ben: You're so hot.

    Will: Hey mom!

Sami: Are you kidding me? You're shacking up with your killer?

    Will: Damn she's back!

That was revolting. Woah suddenly I'm really fond of TK as Ridge. And I'm all for an umpteenth Thorne recast (given what Ingo tweeted). I thought L.A. was more liberal than this.

There are a good amount of people there who aren't remotely liberal. It is a fairly liberal place but sometimes just how liberal it is gets overstated.

That demonic looking woman is every racist white man's favorite colored gal. In slavery she would have been in the big house sleeping in the master's bed and telling him about the slaves trying to escape.

And his non-acting self has the nerve trying to pass judgement on anyone for anything. Old wrinkled up white asparagus of a man.
